Hex Perk Suggestion

Hey there!

Before I get into it I just wanna say: I'm no game designer, I don't know what's best for DbD, but I throw this out here more for inspiration than as a recommendation. With that said, here's a hex rework:

Totem Changes:

12 Totems now spawn around the map.

Reasoning: Due to the way some perks below have been changed, this will increase the power of certain hex perks and reduce the power of others. It will also provide more secondary objectives for survivors.

Perk Changes:

Hex: Devour Hope - Now creates 2 hex totems. The effect persists until all hex totems are destroyed. Destroying one of the hex totems immediately reduces the tokens on the perk by 2. All tokens are lost when both hex totems are destroyed.

Hex: Haunted Grounds - Now ignites 3 totems. The effect persists until any of the hex totems are destroyed.

Hex: Huntress' Lullaby - Now ignites 2 totems. The effect persists until both hex totems are destroyed.

Hex: No One Escapes Death - Starts the game with 7 tokens. Whenever a dull totem is destroyed, loses one token. When the last generator is repaired, if there is at least 1 token remaining on this perk, a dull totem becomes a hex totem. Otherwise functions the same as it does now.

Hex: Retribution - Now ignites 2 totems. The effect persists until all tokens are destroyed.

Hex: Ruin - Now ignites 2 totems. The effect persists until all tokens are destroyed.

Hex: The Third Seal - Now ignites 3 totems. The effect persists until all totems are destroyed.

Hex: Thrill of the Hunt - Now starts the game with 5 tokens, instead of a token for each dull totem. Other than that, no change.

Hex UI Changes:

The hex indicator on the right side of the screen now shows a number, similar to the way tokens are shown on perks, indicating the number of remaining hex totems for that hex on the map (perhaps in red instead of white text). Whenever a hex totem related to the hex is destroyed, this number decreases by one.

New Perk Suggestion:

Hex: Desperation - A hex that restores destroyed totems. Creates 1 hex totem: Every [Some number, maybe 150/120/90?] seconds, a random destroyed totem is restored. If this was a hex totem, the hex perk associated with it is re-enabled. Lasts until the hex totem is destroyed. //Note: For Haunted Grounds, ALL of the hex totems must be restored for the perk to become active again. For NOED and Thrill of the Hunt, restoring a totem adds a token back to the perk.

Alterations:

Obviously the total number of totems could be altered. It could also be based on the number of hex totems that spawn; maybe there are always 3 dull totems + hex totems or some such. 12 just seemed like a good number based on.... nothing.

The number of hex totems per perk could also be adjusted.

Some perks could lose their effect when X of its totems are destroyed - for example, a perk could spawn 3 hex totems and become inactive when 2 are destroyed, or it could spawn 3 totems and lose its power when any of them are destroyed.

Let me know what you think!
