The Legion - Easiest way to make them a better killer.

Hello. Today we are going to talk about changes that in my opinion can make The Legion a good killer. Hope you like it. Also I wanted to say that i have Rank 1 on both sides (Killer and Survivor) so I'm not killer sided or surv sided here. I love playing both of them.

Fatigue

In my opinion Fatigue should be shorter. In game it is 4 seconds. With my changes it's 3 seconds. 3 seconds of fatigue are perfect imo.

Duration

Feral Frenzy duration should be increased by 1,5-2 seconds. In the current state of The Legion duration addons are kind of must have. The only exception is when you take Cold dirt and Joey's Mixtape (two addon's that decrease the fatigue duration) or Frank's Mixtape that is a joke addon in the current form.

Hitting a deep wounded survivor while in feral frenzy

I don't know why but when you play Legion you are punished for hitting a Deep Wounded survivor. You give the survivor a speed boost, you lose your entire power gauge and you get 4 seconds of the fatigue. You should not be punished for hitting a survivor imo.

-Hitting a Deep Wounded survivor decreases his Deep Wound timer (25%) (5 seconds)

-Hitting a Deep Wounded survivor ends your power immediatly but doesn't deplete your entire power gauge.

So when you are bad at Legion and survivor jukes you, you lose a lot of Frenzy gauge and you are not effective in downing while in Frenzy. There is a lot of counterplay. The Legion can't see scratchmarks, Window techs and Pallet techs are VERY easy to do. So how effective you will be depends on your skills and survivor skills.

MISSING ATTACKS

So, when I play survivor i love to make the Legion miss an attack and get him out of his Frenzy. But I think it's too punishy. I think that nice change would be:

When Legion misses an attack while in Feral Frenzy he loses 50% of his current bar.

Let me explain:

When you have 100% of Frenzy power gauge you lose 50% of it.

When you have 50% of Frenzy power gauge you lose 25% of it.


KILLER INSTINCT

the Killer Instinct Notification will scale up/down depending on how far the Survivors are.


DEEP WOUND

  • Reduced the bleed-out timer to 20 seconds from 30 seconds.
  • When surviors are doing any action they bleed out 2x faster.
  • If Deep Wound status effect is applied to an injured survivor, he starts with 15 seconds of Deep Wound timer instead of 20 seconds (so if survivors decide not to heal, they have less time to mend.)

Add ons

A lot of The Legion addons need a change. Many of them are useless or just not worth to pick. Here I'm going buff/rework some of them.


PINS:

Status Effect applies when hitting a Survivor while in Feral Frenzy(Removed the Killer Instinct requirement).

  • Just to make the addons clearer to use for new players

Legion Pin: Hitting a survivor while in Feral Frenzy applies the Exhausted status effect (before it applied Broken status effect).

I want to change it because the yellow pin is just more worth using than the green one. That's why.

When you apply the Mangled status effect you give the survivors two options:

  • They can heal very slowly and waste a lot of time
  • They can go to the generator and start repairing it.

When you apply the Broken status effect you give the survivor's only one option. To rush the generators. It's just not worth for the killer like Legion to do so. That's for sure my opinion. But when i play The Legion i want to waste survivor's time as much as possible. My change to Legion Pin is idea to help you in loops.


RULERS:

  • Reduces Feral Frenzy recovery time by 3/5 seconds(From 2/3.5 seconds)

A slight buff to give the player more choice while selecting add ons.

  • Increases Feral Frenzy duration by 1/1.5/2.5 seconds.

Same as they were before. These addons are perfectly balanced.


Killer Instinct Addons:

  • Increases movement speed while in Feral Frenzy by 0.2/0.4/0.6 m/s
  • Increases vault speed while in Feral Frenzy by 0.1/0.2/0.3s

The killer instinct addons that we had are just not worth picking. They gives information that's for sure but they can also REALLY CONFUSE you when you want to chain your hits. Now we have increased movement speed in frenzy and increased vault speed in frenzy. I think these addons can be REALLY fun :D.


Julie's Mixtape

  • Increases your Killer Instinct detecion range by 16 meters (before it was decreasing your fatigue time by 0.2 seconds)

Before you couldn't even feel that you have this addon. Now it replaces old Susie's Mixtape so it's increasing your KI.

This addon is for people that want to have more information.


Cooldown Addons:

  • Decreases cool-down of Feral Frenzy by 0.4/0.6 seconds.
  • Slightly/Moderatly decreases amount of Tunnel Vision (The Dark screen when in Fatigue)

Fatigue times are okay so i'm going to add the Tunnel Vision changes.


Blade Addons

  • Increases Survivors' mending time by 1.5/2.5 seconds.
  • Survivor action speed while Deep Wounded are slowed by 5/10% (repairing generators, cleansing totems, healing other survivors etc.) . This effect stays for 30 seconds after being mended. (Does not affect mending action)

After the recent changes these addons are kinda weak. And for sure noone like infinite mending. So instead of increasing mending time, I gave some additional slowdown for survivors.


STAB WOUNDS STUDY

  • The Auras of Survivors who are mending are revealed to you when they are within a range of 28 metres.

I reworked this addon because it was kinda useless before. Now when i gave a opportunity to down in frenzy I think this addon needs a rework.


Frank's Mixtape

  • Feral Frenzy attacks moderatly reduce a Survivor's Deep Wound timer. (7 seconds) (1/3)
  • Allows The Legion to see survivors' Deep Wound timer.
  • Hitting a Deep Wounded survivor gives you Weapon Wiping effect, that lasts for 2 seconds. (That is the additional fatigue, that was in game when the Legion came out on PTB. So you have 2 seconds of Weapon Wiping and than 3 seconds of normal fatigue.)

So with this addon you are able to down a survivor with 4 hits instead of 5 hits. In exchange you get additional Weapon Wiping fatigue that last for 2 seconds.


IRIDESCENT BUTTON

  • The Legion's Terror Radius affects the entire Map.
  • Any Pallets you vault are immediately broken.

This addon is great and creative. This addon doesn't need any changes.


FUMING MIXTAPE

  • While using Feral Frenzy, the Repair Progression of Generators can be determined by the intensity of their Auras.

This addon is okay with a Generator builds so no changes for this one.


The end

Okay so that's everything that i wanted to show you. Tell me what you think in the comments. I think with this changes Legion and his addons are more fun to play :DDD.

    Just one thing to say, stab wounds study is bad. 30 seconds of oblivious? I find that you rarely commmit to a chase after deep wounding a survivor, what is even worse, if they mend, you stop tracking them because they aren't affected by your terror radius.

    In the end, if you commit to a chase after hitting them with ff, as soon as they realize they have oblivious they will start running to a safe spot (no, pallets usually aren't a safe in this scenario). Right now survivors sometimes just disrespect you and start to mend. Then you can cancel your power and often get a down.

    Also, if you would want to go back to injured survivor after they finished mending, you can't track them, which means you can't go for already injured survivor, to get easy down and with normal legion speed, it will often be unlikely that you will catch them offguard with only 30 seconds.

    It would be useful only in closed maps, on other maps it would impact your power negatively.

    I don't know how I feel about making Feral Frenzy lethal again... seems kinda wrong because there is nothing a survivor can do to avoid a Feral Frenzy stab.

    I mean if you won't be fast enough and survivor will be able to juke you well, you will lose a lot of Frenzy Gauge. If you are not a good Legion you will play almost like the current Legion with Frank's Mixtape. Downing in Frenzy still won't be the most viable strategy. But still thanks for your opinion :D

    So, there's a lot here. I feel like if they gave all of these buffs to Legion, they'd be too good. None of them on their own seem like too much except 1.

    Your speed boost addons. Assuming they stack, Legion can run both and be running in frenzy faster than the survivors can with exhaustion perks. That's probably way too much.

    For the new 28m aura reveal. It should clarify that it shows auras of survivors, who are mending after being struck by FF. Without it, it will be called tunnel vision because of the interaction with BT.

    Cooldown: 3 seconds is very reasonable. Right now Legion gets heavily punished for ending their power and taking a second off of cooldown would be nice.

    Duration: I think I would just make Stolen Sketchbook basekit then give it another effect.

    Deep Wound Attacks: This is the reason why people despised old Legion and why they were the DC Kings and Queens, there's not a lot a survivor can do if they're just getting frenzy stabbed to death. I wouldn't be against the power gague not draining completely when hitting a deep wounded survivor if frenzy hits didn't drain the survivor's bar.

    Missed Attacks: There's no reason why the Legion should lose their entire bar when missing an attack. Losing half of the bar is a lot less punishing.

    Legion Pin: I personally think exhaustion add-ons are extremely boring. I would give the Legion Pin 60 seconds of Oblivinessness to survivors inflicted with Deep Wounds or 30-45 seconds of Undetectable after successfully chaining at least two attacks and ending your power. This can lead to interesting builds and synergize with your Stab Wounds Study proposal.

    Movement/Vault Speed: I love speed, but maybe lower the number on the vault speed just a little.

    Joey's Mixtape/Cold Dirt: I'm cool with these changes, but I think the Tunnel Vision should just be decreased in general.

    Blades: Increasing mend time is okay, but reduced action speed can lead to another Forever Freddy situation where no matter what the survivors do, the game's progression is at a halt.

    Stab Wounds Study: I love this idea a lot, but the range should be around 20 meters instead.

    Frank's Mixtape: As said before, downing survivors with Frenzy is not healthy for the game. What if it was like Doc's Iridescent King and made it to where the Deep Wound attacks inflicted survivors with a random effect such as Hemmorhaging, Mangled, Broken, or Obliviousness?

    Iridescent Button and Fuming Mixtape: I agree that these add ons are perfect how they are.

    As a legion main, take my words with some salt. I think they need a rework. if you have watched their trailer, one acts like one of the survivors, so i was hoping that he would be able to disgiuse as them and sneak up on them. but noooooooo, we got this and it made me feel so bored.

    Juat want to point out that window/pallet techs doesn’t work against legion in frenzy. At least not anymore. There is no way to avoid getting hit from a somewhat decent not even good legion. Unless you split up of course and make them waste all their power by the time they get to you.

    To be honest. Some of Legoin’s add-ons are basically made for a completelly different killer and are useless in their current state. Legion really needs and add-on update. Much more than clown or bubba. At least their’s work with their powers as they supposed to.
