Any time a survivor gets hit and glows white it meant they had the Endurance status effect which let's them sponge a hit while injured. In most cases, this means they were given Borrowed Time and you will see an orange meter below their survivor icon, which is Deep Wounds. They have a certain amount of time to mend from Deep Wounds or they go into dying state, but the DW meter pauses when they are running or mending. Killers don't see DW meter go down, they just see that this survivor has the effect on them.

    Other ways it can happen:

Medkit with Styptic Agent add-on. Considered "BT in a bottle". Basically the same effects as BT but done from an item instead of a perk.

Mettle Of Man. This doesn't put the survivor into Deep Wounds. They just sponge the hit.

Legion/Deathslinger powers apply Deep Wounds (no glow but you see the orange meter).

The Endurance status effect highlights survivors in white. It allows them to ignore damage that would put them into the dying state. Perks include: Mettle of Man (Ash teachable) and Borrowed Time (Bill Teachable). Item addon: Purple Syptic Agent.

MoM: Take 3 protection hits to gain the endurance status.

BT: Rescue someone within the killers TR to give the Endurance status for 15 seconds to the rescued survivor.

Syptic Agent: On a medkit, they have to stop, use the medkit and hit the secondary action to gain Endurance for 15 seconds.
