Dear Dead By Daylight: New Survivor Idea: Solomon Lasker (Excerpt)
Hey everyone,
You've probably seen this stuff floating around for awhile on the forums, but in case you didn't know, I uploaded a document (and accompanying forum post) titled Dear Dead by Daylight about awhile ago which has been getting incredible feedback from you guys here in the community, but the biggest suggestion was to split all the change ideas into multiple documents to make them easily digestible.
Today, I bring you a suggestion for a new survivor: a priest named Solomon Lasker.
If you want to know my reasoning or check out the rest of the changes, I'll leave a link to the main post as well as the previous article. Please leave constructive criticism and/or support, you're feedback is invaluable. Thanks again,
NorMak3
P.S. This list isn't perfect and I may change things on the main document based on new data, but I don't plan on changing anything on these fragment posts, so if something seems off, make sure to check the main document or comments to make sure it isn't already fixed.
"Solomon Lasker
Gender: Male
Role: Faithful partisan
Nationality/Ethnicity: Columbian of Jewish descent
Description
- 43 years old
- Quiet rights activist
- Stubbly
- Wears priestly suit and tie
- Rather lean
Backstory:
- Orphaned very young
- Inspired by Martin Luther King in the United States
- Became well respected and loved local priest
- Woman came in one day to ask for help since her uncle’s manor, Murnau Manor, seems haunted
- Wasn’t much of an exorcist, but decided to go. While investigating the house, was taken by the entity. As he was taken he heard a dark chuckle (that belonging to the Poet)
Teachables:
- Sanctuary: You can find safety in the eye of the storm. While within 16 meters of a finished generator, you have a bonus of 30/40/50% to healing speeds and your aura is revealed to all other survivors while within that area.
“Here, you will be safe no matter what plagues you.” -Solomon Lasker
- Confessional: Even when not together, you are linked. When two or more survivors are hiding in lockers, they can see each other’s auras. Additionally, if you are in the dying state, you can get in and out of lockers at will and can recover as if on the ground while in the locker. Additionally, when a killer is within 8 meters of someone in a locker, the killer is visible to everyone else. (Grabbing a downed survivor out of a locker takes only 3 seconds instead of the normal 6. Also, this perk does not synergize with inner strength unless you use unbreakable to go to the injured state from the dying state first.)
“Confess to me child and all will be fine.” -Solomon Lasker
- Inner Light: A shard of reflective glass you picked up along your travels that you can pull out near a source of light (finished generator, bonfire, ect.) and attempt to reflect the light into the eyes of your assailant. You can pull this out near any light source using the use item button and cause a beam of light similar to a flashlight to emit from it 45° to your left. You cannot move while you have the reflection glass out and if you are holding a flashlight, medkit, map, firecrackers, or key with an attachment, it will take priority over this perk (you must drop any of these items to use Inner Light).
“Even here, I still have a piece of Him with me.” -Solomon Lasker
General Bloodweb Layout: Focus on flashlights and med-kits. Lots of offerings."
