why was my Discussion deleted?

yesterday i watched the stream about the 4th anniversary on youtube, after it finished i put up a discussion saying the next chapter was silent hill as i wanted to see what reaction there was to this. Now i have seen the discussion has gone yet others have done the same thing and they remain up. i thought this was what the community was all about, Discussions about the game. i didnt put this on before the announcement so dont see what i did wrong.

    i see now my discussion was merged with another and give to to other person. thats some messed up crap, even gave them my and others comments that were on my discussion WHY? WHY? WHY?

    I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that the moderators wanted to keep discussion on the same topic within a single thread rather than having a whole bunch of threads about the same thing, and so decided to merge the two. Try not to let it bother you too much - after all, you said you started the thread because you wanted to see people's reactions to the new chapter, so it shouldn't matter too much who created the discussion as long as it's being discussed. It's better than having the forum flooded with dozens of threads talking about the same thing.
