Calm Spirit or Spies of the Shadows buff

I feel like Calm spirit of Spies needs a buff as at present CS is only used to counter Doctor or Infectious/Iron Maiden. I believe this stems from Spies not being any sort of threat.

Could we consider buffing Spies of the Shadows to cover at least half if not all of the map or buff CS so it has a use other than countering Doctor?

1 idea I had was possibly combining it with Iron Will and making CS do something else entirely.

Actually, CS counters other things too. For instance, screaming cause of Clowns gas or Freddys snares. And one more thing: you cut off the chance of the killer pinpoint your location thru the crows. You can avoid long distance detection and hide behind crows without calling attention of the killer.

CS doesn't really counter Clown and freddy since they're usually chasing you when it happens. The original point of CS was to counter spies but it's just not viable.

My suggestion is making it hide your scratch marks and blood splatters for 3 seconds after you are hit by the Killer.

This makes the "no scream when hit by the killer" part of the perk actually useful. Since he can use the brief moment after being hit to lose the Killer with the speed boost.

You could very easily use it as part of a "vanish" build.

Spies is actually a decent perk. the main issue is a lot of older maps don't have a lot of crows.

Use Spies on Hawkins and then use Spies on a map like Rotton Fields and you'll see a huge difference.

Because you don't scream, it does open up some mind-game opportunities that their powers would have otherwise denied. You might not lose chase, but you may get an extra loop out of it. They'd still get BP flags for their powers going off, but many killers aren't focused on those in chase.

I find Calm Spirit to actually be really annoying to play against as killer. Something that I feel often goes unappreciated about it is that you can occasionally confuse a killer after they land a hit if you spin around them and shoot off in a random direction (especially within corn/reeds/bamboo/bushes). Because killer can't use your character's cry of pain to immediately re-orient to your direction, you can gain extra distance and sometimes even escape chase entirely.

It's not a perk I'd consider "meta" on par with Iron Will, but its also not weak anymore.

One buff - Spawn more crows.

That would make it a very cool perk, but scary in the hands of good survivors

I mean it's not like it has no counterplay. Any kind of mid-chase stealth perk is inherently countered by good prediction skills.

Still, miles better than what it is now.

Imagine this Calm Spirit + Iron Will + Q&Q + Dance with me

When a crow flies see the aura of that crow outside of 40 m. terror radius. spies from the shadows has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

For Calm spirit I would just make it if the killer scares a crow in certain range you see his aura for 3 seconds.

For Spies from the shadows just make it so killers don't scare crows away so the perks basically counter each other.

And just add more crows on some maps.

I would advise against merging CS and IW: IW is already a very strong perk, I'd rather see another perk get buffed so that the number of viable perks increases and the meta becomes more interesting.

I think if calm spirit affected falling screams/grunts it would become reasonably powerful...
