Bubba is Suffering

So I just started leveling killers. Got Legion to 40, who I really enjoy, and am working on Bubba now, because BBQ. What I've done for survivors (who are all now 40-50) is switch between each one, using up all of their green-yellow offerings, and then moving on to the next for more BP. It makes gains a lot quicker, and provided it's not a crap match from the start, I usually walk away with 20-30k+ BP.

Thing is, I hate Bubba. He's so clunky and I feel like I have to camp or use NOED to get anywhere -- not something I enjoy. Every guide I've read recommends skills that 3 out of 4 are on other characters I don't have leveled.

So any skill recommendations or beginner plays? Remember, all I have is his, Legion's, & universal skills available.

Bubba is disappointed you use noed in any conversation about him. Run PWYF and Nemesis on him and enjoy the destruction.

You see, I totally would, if I had any other characters leveled. Like I said originally, I'm not looking for the meta build, but just something to ease my suffering. 😒

Doc has Monitor, which is a decent perk. Trapper has Agitation, Billy has enduring... do it at your own pace.

However, Bubba is... really in a sorry state. He has an instadown that can get multiple people, but it is really bad. The only way it is useful is if you are right against the survivors, because of his slowdown when charging it. He is like Legion in the fact that you have to know when to saw and when not to.

Bubbas got some of the strongest locker plays in the game though. Even if they get in there, his tantrum can still down people. So they cant leave until that is over, and if they wait too late you can just grab them. But that is the only thing I can think of that is strong for him.

Legions perks are really iffy at best for him.

    A decent build is this:

Sloppy Butcher, BBQ, Knockout, and Deerstalker is a good build. You can choose when you want to hook people, and slugging wastes more of their time, as they often have to look for the downed person. Hooking encourages you to leave, since you can see the auras... but the only thing you don't have is gen regression perks. You just have to use slugging to apply pressure, which Bubba is very good at. There aren't many gen regression perks when starting out... but as you go through killers, you'll get more options. You can also replace Deerstalker with NOED if you are confident you can find slugged survivors, but need help in the endgame.

@Raven014 Thank you! I'll give this build a go, and keep locker plays in mind. I should have thought of that myself tbh. I just got chainsawed trying to juke with one tonight. πŸ˜…

They can leave during the final swing of the tantrum, but if they dont they are screwed. : )

Glad I could help. Bubba suffers without teachables like Pop. It is hard to use builds without them, so I had to think of what perks you would have at your disposal... Best of luck with your games though!

Which platform do you play on? I've been playing Bubba seriously for going on a year now and have managed to pick up on some pretty good tricks on playing him.

I play on PC, but I do use a controller. It just feels better to me with this game.

I appreciate the offer, but I'd rather just mess around with builds to figure it out myself. Thank you though!

Ok well if you don't have these perks then you need to realise he is a weak killer. Advice on how to play him is to never go for chainsaws unless your basically touching the survivor. Also use charge add-ons pretty much every game. Use a charge add-on with beast marks or just 2 charge add-ons. The rest are trash so they aren't worth using. Cooldown is ok for locker grabs but that's more advanced bubba play.

What killers have you unlocked the teachables for?

That's fine, goodluck to ya. Alot of it is just learning Bubba's strengths and weaknesses and playing around that.

I would say you could run Discordance, BBQ, Iron maidens and then you can ether run Iron Grasp for basement plays or Sloppy Butcher so survivors need longer to heal.

@Raven014 Just wanted to let you know I used your build finally (hadn't had the chance to play since this discussion) and on the first go I got a 4k. Thanks again! That was a lot more fun.
