Slippery Meat complete rework
Slippery Meat is one of the perks that have existed in the game since the release. The purpose of the perk is to let you escape from hooks (and Bear Traps for some reason), but it has never been good enough to run, because the effects are so minimal and usually don't help you with anything. So this is my idea:
Each time you escape from a chase that lasts at least 20 seconds, you gain a token for a maximum of 4 tokens. When you are put into the dying state, you lose 1 token.
If you have at least 3 tokens and you are in the struggle phase on the hook, you can stop struggling to immediately escape from the hook by yourself. This action applies the Broken status effect for the next 100/80/60 seconds. The perk deactivates.
--------------------
This would be the first perk that allows survivors to free themselves from hooks during the struggle phase. I think this perk is balanced, because:
- You basically have to lose the killer 4 times in actual chases (you can't just run in front of the killer when they are chasing someone else to get a free token, unless you can do it for 20 seconds)
- If you go down, you lose 1 token.
- If you use the perk successfully, you gain the Broken status effect (just like with Deliverance)
- Usually it doesn't really matter if you can unhook yourself, because most of the time there's someone waiting to save you. This perk might come in handy only if other survivors are busy far away from you or if everyone else is on the ground / on hooks.

It's definitely an interesting change to what has long been one of the most pointless survivor perks.
However, it sounds like it would be so incredibly situational to pull off this once-in-a-trial mechanic that I can't imagine most (or any) survivors are going to run it. Deliverance itself is already somewhat situational to use (and significantly easier than this to prep), and I don't see it in play very often.
For proof of this likely outcome, just look to Mettle of Man. Almost no one uses it because of the effort needed to gain enough protection stacks to endure a single extra hit in the trial. That's a very strong ability, but it's clear that the cost of MoM is too high for most survivors.
It's a well laid out idea, but maybe the perk could offer a little bit more to the unhooked survivor (not conditional on them freeing themselves)? Perhaps such as a temporary reduction in grunts of pain and/or a reduction in blood trails on the ground? With that, you could turn it into a survivor QoL perk (like Self-Care) that could situationally have a very useful super-benefit, especially for solo survivors.

Too many drawbacks for not that big of a reward. Being in a chase is pretty easy for 20 seconds. Escaping that chase could be proven difficult.

Your suggestion is interesting, but it has big requirements. My suggestion instead of yours would be to apply more effects to current Slippery Meat.
- Slippery Meat should allow you to unhook/uncage yourself from The Executioner's (Pyramid Head's) Cage of Atonement.
- Slippery Meat should allow you to find a Key in the Pig's Jigsaw Boxes faster.
- Slippery Meat should allow you to break the Deathslinger's Chain faster.
All actual numbers of speeds are up the BHVR to decide in order to maintain game quality, I wont say what I think they should be, nor should I have to since I have no access to the Data to judge accordingly, I just think these effects would buff a underused perk, vs Killers which can be really strong vs new survivors and keeping the idea of the Perk.
