Monthly Perk Balance Changes Would Keep My Interest

In this video by Scott Jund, at 12:15 he talks about intentionally buffing/nerfing perks to shake up the meta. The goal is not to balance every perk to be equal in power, but to encourage variety and more unique builds. Seriously, we have been dealing with the same meta (DS, BT, DH, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Unbreakable) for sooooooooooooooo long.

I understand the devs have priorities, but PLEASE we need CONTENT. It wouldn't even be that hard because you could just tweak the numbers.

EXAMPLES

  • Babysitter's effect buffed from 8 seconds to 30 seconds.
  • Poised effect buffed from 10 seconds to 16 seconds.
  • Wake Up's effect buffed from +15% speed to +40% speed.
  • Solidarity's effect buffed from 50% to 75%.
  • Surge's effect buffed from 8% regression to 12% regression
  • Overcharge's effect buffed from +5% regression to +10% regression.
  • Fire Up's effect buffed from +4% to +6%.
  • Hang Mans Trick buffed from 6 meters to 10 meters.

All of the listed perk changes are just value tweaks, and nothing major was changed.

My suggestion

Buff/Nerf 10-20 perks monthly(?) to intentionally shake up the meta.

Only if Remember Me is buffed to compensate. : P

But yes, changing perks weekly/monthly would be great for game health.

I agree,we desperately need more perk changes.

It's sooooo boring to see the same perks on either side all the time just because all the other perks are so bad in comparison.

I always loved it when the devs buffed some perks and i could try some new and different builds, but it's been so long since they buffed multiple perks :(

There should be another person or team that is only focusing on perk balance.

Heck yeah! This would be great!

I constantly try new perk builds even though we all know the optimal builds just a personal challenge to keep the game fresh - it would be amazing to see actual reasons to run new perks, and putting it on this type of schedule where the devs don't need to worry 'what if we change this perk and it's too strong or too weak' because they can just change it again next month would be great for figuring out how to make weaker perks viable and stronger perks more fair!

    100% on board!

lol good luck with that. The entitled ones will pull out their ultimate trump card and threaten to quit the game when any if their toys get targeted.

Well... constant meta change, thats what LoL is doing.

It certainly makes game more interesting and for people who couldn't, for example not play as billy when he is underpowered this month, would take a break and return to this game after some time.
