Unfair matchmaking penalties

Ive encountered an issue on Xbox where (as survivor) I would be forcefully removed from a match due to a connection error or something other, but that isn't the problem. The problem is the matchmaking penalty that follows.
This has only happened to me twice, but I would be very greatful if it stayed that way.
