Proposal - How to avoid the hatch DC tech
So I had this idea while discussing with someone here on the forum about the topic and that's what came into my mind:
What if, when a survivor disconnects (for ANY reason) instead of immediately dropping dead, the animation with the Entity sacrificing them at the end of the EGC was played?
In the scenario of only 2 survivors left that could give the killer just enough time to start looking for the hatch or the last guy (and get some Sacrifice points for the DC instead of Brutality).
Let's be honest, the only people which would suffer from this thing would be the ones which are abusing the DC/hatch system.

If a survivor dcs the hatch should lock its self permanently that match and the exit gates should not be allowed to be 99d

I kinda like this idea.

I think having entity animation would be good for DC.

I agree, using some sort of sacrifice animation for DC's would balance out this tactic. The remaining survivor doesn't get an instant hatch escape, but also isn't unfairly punished if some random decides to tactical disconnect for them (or just straight-up rage quits).
Killer gets the advantage of being able to immediately hunt for the last survivor during the animation, but also isn't necessarily guaranteed a free 4th kill because of a penultimate DC.
Basically, it makes the game progress as though the second-to-last survivor was sacrificed on hook, which is probably the most mutually fair way for this scenario to play out.

I highly doubt you're being serious so I'd like to know what issues you see with the solution I proposed, maybe there's something which I didn't think of.
Exactly! If the second-to-last survivor DCs the last one could still get hatch if the killer doesn't where they were, so it should work well in all cases, while also discouraging the "hatch tech" since it wouldn't be so safe to do anymore.

Because there needs to be harsh punishments to stop the bs.

DC bans?

In that case I think that completely preventing the other survivor to escape is not a really balanced thing..
I get that it is frustrating when it happens, but punishing a survivor like that because someone else (who maybe they didn't even know) DCed is a bit too extreme..

The Dc penalty for people that dont dc is extreme to not that im against it im just saying. The game cant recognize when someone dcs as a rage quit or because of the servers but thise people still get a penalty but when its down to 2 survivors and one is caught the dc 9 times out of 10 was intentional

I've been disconnected randomly from a match before, and I'm of the opinion that the DC penalties are fine as they are.
This post is not to discuss about DC penalties tho, I just wanted to suggest a somewhat simple change that could help mitigate a problem caused by people abusing a (IMO) broken mechanic.

the only people who would need this, are those who slug for the 4k.

Slugging is not against the rules while disconnecting is, and if a survivor can benefit from someone on their team disconnecting something is not right.
I'm not a fan of slugging for the 4k either, but doing so already comes with some risks, and I think that people abusing an against-the-rules tactic should not be one of them.
And BTW, I've seen people doing it even when the killer was NOT slugging for the 4k: they knew they were #########, and decided to give the killer the middle finger because they couldn't accept to lose.
