DS is fine
Not bait, i genuinely think DS is fine how it is. Well only if people stop looking at it as an anti tunnel perk.
Remember old DS? It was a literal get out of jail free card. Everyone wanted it nerfed or reworked. Because it had like no actual requirements it was nerfed several times. But the perk stood the same though, it was only given stricter conditions. Also not to mention people could have done everything new DS is doing right now with old DS but better. They just always used it immediately like potatos.
New DS IS old DS but with a strict condition of being unhooked and 60 seconds. Within those 60 seconds you can do exactly what old DS can, but more efficiently.
New DS just allows survivors to use it in smarter ways because it only made it impossible of doing the dumb move by using it on your first down

The problem is the way people use it. Let's say you hook someone while a guy with ds gets unhooked. He instantly goes over to unhook the recently hooked guy.
Both of them have DS. You either leave both of them, slug both of them, or down and pick up one.
Regardless of your choice you are losing alot of pressure and momentum. That's my problem with DS. It can be used to change the killer from having all momentum to practically none.

Exactly. D's is suppose to be a defensive perk but when it's active even thou the killer hook someone else or the D's user if fully healed or works on a gen for x amount of time then why is it still active. Has no reason to be. An in a situation where 3 survivor are alive yet 1 on hook if he gets save an has D's that a free escape which is unfair to the killer for getting punish for a get out of jail free perk

Slug both. I don’t see how this removes the killer’s momentum, if anything you’re in a really strong position. You have two slugs next to each other that need to be picked up, and if you chase the first person who comes for the save you require the fourth survivor to also leave their gen. Now you have a really strong position: two slugs, one chase, and one rescuer. Four survivors all near each other, not doing gens, being entirely reactive and vulnerable to a snowball. This is like my dream scenario as killer, lol.

Unbreakable.

Then one person is on gens, one is being chased, one slugged and the Unbreakable user is healing the slug. Still a strong position for any killer to be in.

No, the killer is chasing one person while another is still working on gens and two are back up before they can even land the first hit. Furthermore, there are now two survivors who can't be picked up even if they unhook in your face or are repairing a generator right in front of you. That's not a strong position at all.

Sure it is fine. But Killers seem to be strange when it comes to it.
Like, slugging is always fine. They do it all the time. And if a Survivor complains, they are saying the Survivor should shut up because there is Unbreakable or that it is a way to create Map Pressure.
But if DS is used - there is no way for the Killer to slug. They HAVE to pick up the Survivor immediatly and open a Forum Thread about DS. Thats a Killer Rule.

Only one person on a gen is a good position for the killer, however you want to try and frame it.
DS only lasts for 60 seconds, they’re not invulnerable. And you can just slug them again and now they don’t have Unbreakable anymore. Their DSes and Unbreakables are limited use, slugging is infinite.

I agree.
It is irritating as killer to get 'served a strike' but at least it eases hook tunneling somewhat.
Remember what it was before? You could use it after just being downed first time. That was a right bumritto.

What you do depends on how many gens are done, and how the game is going so far.
If few gens are done, you eat both DS's. No reason not to. Get them out of the way. Then they can't use them ever again. (And that's assuming they actually have them). If a lot of gens are done, you leave them both slugged. I agree it's kind of BS that someone can go and unhook someone with DS and both of them be pretty safe. But at the same time it's kind of inefficient for them to come over and save someone immediately after you hook. And you can punish them hard by slugging them both.

Paired with Unbreakable, DS is more game changing than any other perk in the game. It does need some fine tuning in my opinion to be less abused.

This.

DS is fine.
If it was reworked, the timer would simply be removed but it would deactivate if another survivor is hooked while your DS is activated.
But it really doesn't need anything, esp with Pyramid Head around the corner.
