So with the recent chapter update we've all heard of the perk SOULGUARD
which allows you to pick yourself up off the ground as long as you are affected by a curse
Some things I've tested with a friend in KYF.
- Soulguard does not activate if a hex-totem is just on the map, you need to actively have the actual curse status affect on your character. this includes having ruin or devourhope, loosing that curse, getting downed, cannot pick yourself back up, getting devourhope's curse, then being able to pick yourself back up again.
- I'm reporting this because I believe it might be a bug or this could be feedback. Unbreakable and Soul-Guard have a conflict with "picking yourself up" from the dying state, If you are cursed when you pick yourself up the first time, Soul-guard should do the pick up right? and then if you get downed and you are no longer cursed, Unbreakable should give you another pickup since that's its job. However I have found out Unbreakable ONLY allows you to get one free pickup, even if soul-guard is active when you recover it disables unbreakables pickup. I don't think this should be the case. I believe that Unbreakable's free ticket out of there should be when you have no other perks that affect picking yourself up from the ground. mostly because Soul-guard is a tedious perk to get working, and this would atleast give unbreakable some better syngery for anti-slugging situations.
- Soulguard's endurance effect is awesome, however I think personally the time you have off the hook should probably scale more like Borrowed time's endurance effect. starting with 15 seconds and scaling the deep-wound timer. as soul-guard could have just a more slight buff for the effort of being picked up off of the ground.
