Pop makes the games so much more longer and way more boring. It was alright before, but now with the new survivor changes, it's just a terrible perk and is becoming unnecessary. Their attempt to create a perk to counter it is a nice attempt, but it barely meets the amount of power of Pop. Repressed Alliance has the downfall of locking the gens against survivors while still granting enough time for the killer to kick it after the timer is out.

    Overcharge doesn't exist?

And secondly, why is 5 minutes to completely negate a survivor's progress on a gen pitiful? .25 charges a minute amounts to a significant amount especially in situations without 4 survivors.

Edit: Added additional knowledge so I don't come across as ignorant of how gen regression works.

300 seconds to completely negate 80 seconds of progress. You do the math.

Ah, Orion the math wizard. Hello, and thank you for that post about how charges work waaaay back.

Story: I've been in a number of games where there are less than four survivors left and the generators are all very close to one another. In those situations, where dead zones surround the gens and the killer has hooks nearby, five minutes can seem like a very short amount of time in which to see your 80% gen go down to 15% because no one is allowed to come close to it while the killer is there.

Yesterday, I was in a trial against a Huntress on The Game. Meg and I were the only survivors left, and there were three gens relatively close to one another. I'd gotten the washroom gen to 80-85% three different times and another gen to 60% twice, and it was a pretty exhausting feeling knowing that you were a better stealther than the huntress was a finder and yet she could keep me locked in the trial with her simply because the gens would regress so much between the times I was repairing. (Meg was downed three different times in this process). It was a ****ing LONG game all because of that one mechanic: gen regression. I enjoyed the stealth part, but the repetitive M1 part was not entirely pleasant and did not contribute to the horror atmosphere.

Edit: got out through an exit gate because Meg bled out the last time the Huntress downed her and the Huntress closed the hatch (between the three gens).

Not because I don't know math, but because I'm considering the amount of time regression can elongate a game is the reason I questioned the adjective "pitiful". Also, yes, I'm aware it's .25 charges per second.

i don’t find gens to be that fast. I find gens to be “fast” when people overly commit to chases. Sometimes, gasp, a team is better than you also. It’s a game, have fun. If people cared less about “getting a 4k like my favorite streamer does” or “tbagging the killer to hell because they’re not a real human being” the game could be so much more fun, for everyone
