Why was the new update 16gb?

I just got into dead by daylight a few months ago but seeing this update being 16gigs for 2 characters and a map seems a bit large considering the game itself is about 30gb.
Why are the updates half the size of the game itself if its only changing a miniscule amount of things.
I play on xbox one and usually when I see large updates for small games it's a graphics buff or a moderately sized dlc release but this is confusing to me.
It's not the first 16gb update I've seen either for this game.
Any ideas on this?
