2% regression per kick

Survivors can gen tap and it stops the regression, at least give a small regression boost per kick.

Don't see any harm in this.

I’ve been asking for this, lots have, for years just a little bit of instant regression maybe even toss it into Brutal if you don’t wanna make it base

    We need this!

That would be 1.6 seconds removed per kick.

    Would be fine by me.

This is a great idea if you ask me and if anyone is worried about POP being a tad to strong should this change happen then I would say just lower POP to 23% that way it stays the same but gen tapping is countered without being overbearing.

I remember when i first started playing i thought a killer kicking a gen added a small bit of regression instantly because that just makes sense and I was so surprised when I realised it didn't

    Really should be implemented

If survivors are tapping your gens right after you kick them, you're doing something wrong.

Seems like a solid idea to make regression more viable. I'm a fan

Or, how about simply running overcharge? The devs put a lot of perk counters in place for game situations. If you don't want to use them, that's on you. But don't come here complaining about stuff when there are resources available to you.

Except Overcharge is terrible. Survivors can even tap the generator and hit the OC skill check while running away, so it doesn't help with this problem. The only perks that successfully negate gen tapping right now are Ruin, Surge, and Dead Man's Switch (the latter two are generally too situational and/or underwhelming to be reliably useful).

Would it really be so bad for killers to be able to better punish survivors who actually gen tap in chase? As is, there's almost no good reason to kick gens as killer; the actual action causes very little regression and is far too easily undone.

Heck, I'd argue they should bump the instant regression up to 5% per kick (4 seconds) and lower PGtW's effect to 20% (stacking with this base regression).

You mean aside from the fact there if there's 2 in the area and you conduct a chase with one, the other doesn't do a gen tap? Or if they're far enough during a chase from leaving a loop, they tap a gen on their way to the next loop?

OC doesn't counter gen tapping. In fact it doesn't even continue the previous regression, it simply adds a 5% regression IF they miss the skill check. But please, tell me what other perk counters there are that continue regression past a gen tap? The only one I can think of is Ruin but 1., that's if the Hex is still up and 2., that doesn't pertain to this post which is kicking a Gen.
