Entire Survivor UI disappearing on PS4

I was starting a game as usual but for some reason my UI wouldn't appear for anything. I couldn't see any button prompts for any actions, couldn't see skill checks, Survivor statuses, or a progress bar for anything. That game was pretty much unplayable and I spent the rest of it doing what little I could which was annoy the killer.
