How Good Is The Pig?
I've just really gotten into playing killer after playing survivor for a while and have really been liking the Pig. I've watched a few videos and YouTube and I can't really find a consistent opinion on her. I've seen people say she's underrated, while others say that she's trash. While I'm still going to put the time in to get good with her I'm curious as to what you guys think about her.

Shes good but you have to be willing to be ######### heartless. I have 0 problems slugging some dude trying to get a trap off his head.

Lower end of the middle spectrum. She has little in the way of map pressure, can be looped, limited traps, and can be gen rushed. Sure, you'll come across your potato team every now and then, allowing you to stomp, but that isn't often. She just can't put enough pressure down consistently . Indoor maps help her, so there is that.

Shes not trash, but shes not particularly great either.
Now of course, this being my opinion, you are within your rights to tell me to go ######### myself if you so choose.
I think Pig is bottom 4 along with Demo, Deathslinger and Trapper.
However, this game is balanced in a way so that no Killer is unusuable.

It's not that bad but there are many better killers than she who have more map pressure imo

Depends on how you cook it.....
1 -
Good IF you can get an early down and start slowing the game with her RBT's.
NEVER target a helmeted survivor, unless like @Dead_by_Gadfly said, to tactically slug them. They have their own issue to worry about, rather than generators.
Just remember that you have no true mobility options, and less movement than the average killer when crouched. Experienced survivors WILL rush you down because of this too.

She's pretty meh; but also has one of the meanest add-on combo's in the game.
This combo specifically, is just RNG death alot of the time.
10 -
You really want to be mean run tampered timer and the pink add on that makes it so they cant see tge boxes then a midwitch map offering (or any indoor map might do)
1 -
I've heard some not so nice things about this combo lol, I usually go for add ons that enhance her dash and crouch but I'll give it a try when I'm feeling a bit devious

OINK

Pig is awesome!
I run unrelenting, surveillance, nurses, and bitter murmur. Her add-ons are what make her really fun. I like adding an extra RBT and another addon for adding a status effect like hemorrhage. The add-ons that create more skill checks at jigsaw boxes are good too.
Typically I expect a 2k or better from her but 4ks are a little rare.
It's true she doesn't have any map pressure on her own. Generally if the first 2 gens fly before you've gotten your first RBT on someone it's likely you won't get better than a 2k. Her RBTs are where her map pressure comes from. The key is getting that first RBT on someone before the first gen pops.

In my experience, as a pig main, I can’t believe how many people underestimate Amanda. Pig maps give more pressure to her rbt’s. Smaller maps having loops closer together give her ambush more pressure. Regardless of map size, I never once gotten less than a 2k/brutal at rank 1. She is extremely consistent in terms of shutting down loops if you know how to dash correctly. A lot of people say STBFL is good with her, but don’t bother, about a third to half of your attacks should be dashes shutting down loops anyways, and STBFL incentivizes not going for ambushes. Whispers/monitor is a god tier combo as it allows you to waste no time at all crouching. My go to is pop/whisper/m&a/enduring. Switch out enduring Or pop for bbq but honestly her best addons are brown anyways so unless your fueling a different character there isn’t a reason for bbq.

I find that at the higher ranks, usually a gen is going to pop while they are on the hook anyways. I don't run any slowdown perks on her beyond corrupt (which I sometimes swap with whispers) because pig is a killer I usually want some gens to be completed on.
So the pink offering doesn't do too too much alot of the time. A crate of gears or a 5th box just makes it straight up more lethal if it activates while they are hooked. Even if I am doing very well, I try not to deploy a head trap until the previous one has been activated. Having too many out at once can mean nobody will do any gens and they will not get activated.
Discordance helps alot with that since once it procs you know a gen will pop very soon (assuming you are not in a position to stop it) and you know to trap someone you downed or not.
That's all assuming killer traps though. If I am using yellow/green/brown add-ons I will just throw them out as a stall since the chances of them killing someone is super low.

Well specofically on midwich getting to all the boxes can be tough because of the layout. Using the pink add on makes that even harder and then tampered timer is...well tampered timer 😊

Shes good but your gonna have to be extremely merciless to get better at her
1 -
Yeah but all rules set 2 does is make the survivor wander around useless for a bit; and then they can usually get the trap off. I believe tampered timer + crate of gears / 5th box actually makes it impossible to search all of them if they get unlucky. Just tampered timer alone won't do that. Rules set 2 will buy you extra time (maybe), but two purples is how you are actually going to get RBT kills.
1 -
On most maps yes, Im saying on midwich they already barely have time to get them off as it is because of tge layout. Its probably the only map that addons good for. I know what youre saying, im not new to pig, my point was simply that its a mean addon to run on that map in particular

Oink?

When I first used the pig I thaught she was trash. But lately she has been one of my main killers. The traps are a nice time waster. I have been very dominant with her.

Boop the snoot.
0 -
She says it best herself; "No excuses, No equivocations... no crying.". As many here have stated, you must commit to being ruthless.
1 -
I'd say she's the weakest stealth killer, but she's still decent.

twitch.tv/scorpionz
That is all.
2 -
around C tier.

I just got my head popped by a pig 😣

You either get really lucky and the survivor wastes 3-4 box searches trying to get the trap off or you get really unlucky and they get it off in 1 or 2. Which instantly makes her bad. Consistency is key to a good killer, like spirit. Chances are you'll have no problem winning as her, pig it's basically luck if you try to play in any other way than slugging
1 -
What?
Are you forgetting Wraith's existence? One good build does not mean that a character is strong.
0 -
Idk, i tracked my stats with her over 15 games and my kill sverage was higher than my average with freddy and doc. Granted it was onky 15 games each. Wraith has been the worst so far though so youre not off there
0 -
There's a UK streamer "Scorpionz" he streams on twitch early mourning (pacific time) prob one if not the best Pig player out there and he has guides on his youtube on how to play Pig and another guide going over her add-ons.
2 -
Pig has natural game slowdown. And her dash attack is pretty decent for cutting off some loops and running STBFL.
Nothing super unique, she's basically an M1 Killer but slightly better than things like Trapper, Wraith, Ghost Face, Legion etc.
0 -
Maybe they should qualify that as the worst steath Killer at stealth?
As in her Crouch isn't very strong and her real abilities are her ambush attack for anti-loop and her RBT's for stall.
1 -
Depends on if you're using the default red cloak or not. Her dash would also be the equivelant for how Spirit and Wraith gain a speed boost after coming out of their respective abilities in that sort of comparison though.

She's definitely mid tier. I played her a lot for a long time. She's stronger than a good chunk of killers, but definitely worse than many, especially once I unlocked enough slowdown perks that her game lengths weren't so special anymore. You'll have a much easier time consistently 4king with someone like doctor for example. If you feel like playing brutally though she can be a good choice, she can definitely create a lot of pressure and get early deaths but that's tempered by those aweful matches where your rng just gives you the finger. Sometimes you'll win when you don't deserve it, sometimes you just get wrecked because all 5 hats got off in the first of 5 total boxes. No matter how much you stack the deck it's still a deck unfortunately.
1 -
Wraith has a lot more mobility than Pig. She has her ambush, sure, but Wraith isn't slowed down by his stealth power.
0 -
Pig is absolutely better imo. Neither has great map pressure but everything about pig is better except he can move faster whike cloaked
0 -
I think wraith is the best stealth killer in the game since his buff. You can stack a ton of slowdown perks on him.
"Forever wraith" gets corrupt, ruin, sloppy, thanta, nurses, and a ton of mobility to go along with it. It blows my mind when people say ghostface is best played as a hit and run killer when you can be using these kinds of builds on wraith instead.
0 -
Being able to traverse the map faster is a huge deal. The Pig can't pressure the map as well as him.
0 -
Wraith can get up to 146% movespeed while cloaked. The pig moves at 90% movespeed while crouched. The pig needs 2 perk slots, whispers and monitor, to even get stealth hits. Wraith can stack up slowdown perks instead. Windstorm wraith is fast enough to utilize the new ruin extremely well.
0 -
Wraith can literally run every slowdown perk that exists in the game.
You could run corrupt, ruin, thanta, dying light, sloppy butcher on a killer running around with 146% movespeed getting free hits at any generator unless the survivors all have spine chill. Wraith does not need any tracking perks. You could dump ruin for pop goes but I find ruin to be really good on high mobility killers.

I love her. She's a blast to play and her traps definitely stall the match a bit. I personally save most of my traps to play end game piggy. "I want to play a game!"
1 -
Rule Set 2 & tempered timer is even worse imo.
0 -
She's above average imo. Build-in slowdown that doesn't force you to move ya ass to gens AND is quite reliable is rare on killers.
0 -
Rule Set #2 needs to be baseline. There's no reason for it to be an add-on, let alone an UR one.
1 -
Yeah but once hes done moving from A to B hes the most basic ######### of m1 killers. His real power is in being able to get that first hit before they can reach a pallet, because once they do youre in loop hell. Running double windstorms your movement is stupid slow while uncloaking making it slightly harder to do that. Map pressure, while being super important, is not everything if there isnt a way to end chases.
Pigs map pressure comes from her rbts. When rng doesnt screw you you're pressuring most of the survivors at the same time. She can also cut loops short if youre good with her dash attack by either dashing or faking the dash.
Pigs only downfall is is the consistency in her traps and how long they take to get off. Wraiths problem is hes the most m1 killer of all m1 killers once he uncloaks

Ill try that build sometime, never ran that on him. See my response right above this one though.
Id probably switch out CI for pop, i hate ci. I hate dying light too but id try it i guess.

D: stop nerfing piggy

BOOP. THAT. SNOOT.
1 -
Not very IMO, but there are worse characters than her.

personally i love playing as the pig, I'm actually a P3 pig and I've been playing her for awhile. i feel like she's an underrated killer that just needs the right perks and add-ons to win a game. i kinda like the build i have with her but i wanna change up one of the perks for pop. I don't wanna buy the clown and grind so I'm hoping it's for sale later on in the shop. (recent game i just played)
