I suddenly have been given a huge variety of rare cosmetics. Why is this

The cosmetics include, and are not limited to, Chuckles, laser bears victory thingy, the hound mask for Huntress from the event, and David’s howling grounds event jacket. Why is this? NGL I feel pretty [REDACTED] cool with them, just unsure how they ended up with me.
Apologies in advance if this has been addressed, I came back from like a 6 month long DBD break.

They were given out to everyone for free

They released them for all players because people were hacking them in and/or selling them online for extremely high prices.
