Just an idea to spice things up
So... I'm laying in bed, bored and cant sleep. Thinking about Dead By Daylight of all things. And it's been a fee years since it's been out. And other than new killers, maps, and survivors, no new game modes or anything have been added.... so I was thinking... why not kinda take a dive into that possibility. Become something completely different and unique from other games that are similar to DBD?
For starters I'd like to put this game mode in custom games for console if it ever becomes a reality. Temporarily of course. But just to see how the idea goes. And I'm really looking for feedback on this to try and make it even better for everyone. So the name I have settled on is called "slaughter house". And the idea is pretty simple. Instead of 1 killer, you now have 2. Instead of 4 survivors , we have 6. Personally I think 8 would be a little overkill, considering how good survivors are already, 6 would be a decent balance in my mind. Now here is where things get.... "interesting". So not only do you have to fix all 5 generators, but you ALSO have to find and destroy the "heart". What the heart is, is something that is protected while the gens are down. Meaning it needs power in order to open the gate or cage to it. I was thinking to maybe have a special item you need to actually destroy it, but idk, might be too much. But the power gates wont actually be available until the heart is destroyed. By that point you can flip a switch that the heart is on top of, and that turns on the power for the gates. All that's left is to escape. Now, with the current maps this would be difficult, so new, much bigger maps would be needed. And there are a lot of things that need to be ironed out for it to work. For example is the heart shown to everyone when the gens are powered, or is it only seen by killers? Also, simple explanation of the heart. It can be 1 of 2 things. The heart of the entity, or we can make something new, where the map is alive and that's the heart of the map. You decide. I really want feedback and support on this. And hopefully the devs see too and give their opinion. So what do you guys think?

I’ve thought about the possibility of new game modes before, but here’s the thing I’d be worried about: Queue times are already super slow. If the community was divided now between game modes, we’d be waiting even longer.
I like the creativity though! It’s fun to think about. And hopefully crossplay quickens matchmaking a little.

I think once the matchmaking is fixed and they do cross platform, the times would speed up drastically. Here lately finding a match hasnt been too hard honestly. But as a rank 14 killer getting matched with 3 rank 1 survivors, it's a little broken atm
