Doctors madness should reset or pause after unhook
It doesnt seem fair that a survivor is unhooked, runs away and then screams due to madness giving their location away. It just turns Doctor into a tunneling machine.
Madness should either reset or madness stays so the survivor needs to snap out but screams are paused for 60 seconds. Just to make things a bit more fair

Survivors are enough OP as it is !

Getting hooked while mad shouldn't result in you not being mad anymore. If anything, being hooked should make you MORE mad. And if you don't want to risk missing skill checks while snapping out of it, you can use the tap & go method.. The skillchecks show up every 25%, so if you do it in one go, you'll get 3 (the 4th one will start as you're finishing) so you can just stop every 20% or so and never get skillchecks.

And there we go, resident killer mains to say everything is fine yet again.
If you just stopped the screams for 60 seconds what difference would it make? Survivors would still need to waste time snapping out of it. Only difference is they wouldnt give away their location for the easy tunnel.....unless thats what you want

The entire point of the scream is to pinpoint survivors. So maybe don't snap out of it at the hook, or within the killer's radius. If you miss a skillcheck and scream, move away before resuming. If you're afraid of screaming, bring Iron Will. Or get better at skillchecks to snap out of it faster. You're aware you still scream in Madness 1, too, right?

And there we go, resident survivor mains complaining about something perfectly balanced again.
Do you realize how stupid you sound? This is discussion board and the fifth of the community are killers, of course their gonna have their own input on the matter. If you want a room of yes-men then keep it inside your head, at least you won't find anyone to disagree with you there.

- Iron Will doesn't stop screams, Calm Spirit does
- You constantly and randomly scream during madness 3 thus revealing your position (the thing op wants to supress for 60 seconds after being unhooked)
- Skillchecks don't progress the Snap out of it. They just prevent the screaming.
- You actually don't screm in Madness 1. Unless you mean the Tier Up scream.

1. Oops wrong Jake perk, yeah I did mean calm spirit
2. Being recently unhooked already tells the killer where you are, nothing to prevent them from tunneling you if they wanted to.. And it takes like 20 seconds to snap out of it, 60 seconds would be a bit too long of a grace period..
3. I know.. That's why I suggested the tap and go method, not having skillchecks means less chances of screaming
4. Pretty sure I've screamed in Madness 1 before, but I might be wrong

I'm pretty sure the idea is that the hook isn't a "safe, reset" spot for survivors. Survivors should have to work to not be found again after being unhooked. After all, that should be when a survivor is most vulnerable.
But Doctor mechanics are poorly designed rn imo, so I understand why this post was made.

This would be a massive nerf to the doctor that he really doesn't need and doesn't make thematic sense(Hooks are metal and conduct electricity why would they discharge you if anything they should RAISE madness).
Being hooked in madness 3(Or being in madness 3 anyways) is expose to make things dangerous for you and well "You can't hide from the Doctor" is his whole gimmick.
Finally if a doctor wants to camp you that badly they'd just save up static blast to hit you once your off the hook anyways even with this change.

I'd say with the Doctor (I main'd as him until the NERF). Any player should be able to completely drop OUT of madness and back to "normal" status in the match. VS one single static-shock and the player stays in madness.
However, the madness would have to be much more controlling in the match and do something else to the survivors. In order to justify the change.
The Doctor really isn't THAT powerful and perhaps only good at late game plays. Thats it. All static does is make for some skill checks that are difficult and about anyone with a few hundred hours on this game. Has learned how to do skill checks easily. Even under the worst conditions! Repeatedly shocking a survivor does NOTHING. except tier up "madness" ooooh, so scary and awful. (not really). I'd encourage them to consider a revert and make him oppressive like he use to be. So that way he does have more map control.
His baseline perks aren't that threatening. Especially overcharge :-p

being madness 3 does nothing to afraid... just hold your M1 for 20 seconds and hit easiest skillchecks in the game and get back to madness 1 that's all... any killer can easily tunnel off any survivor after unhooked. If you don't like getting tunneled just use DS. Doc is balanced enough, and top of that you can use calm spirit if you are afraid of screaming.
