Is BHVR aware that survivors are using a program to know what killer they are gonna face?
Hi all!
I usually play killer but it happened to me while joining solo survivor that the other survivors in the lobby tell me what killer we are gonna face and it was always the one they said (we are talking about red ranks btw).
Another example is today I wanted to play some trapper and 3 (THREE) trials in a row I had survivors with Object of Obsession and occasional maps (both are tremendusly effective against a trapper, making his power nearly usless).
Are the devs aware of this BIG BIG problem? If yes, did they talk about hunting down these players to ban them?
Thanks in advance :)

Had a mate using that which wasnt an app just reading the logs to prevent spirits and he told me he couldnt use it anymore after the silent hill update, now there's people saying there's now an app and that streamers used it but when I asked for clip I didnt get any answer

Thanks for the answers! But do the DEVS know about this log/app thingy?

I haven't seen anything from the devs on it.

People on this thread are saying the devs buried it behind other files, but it's definitely still live in some way because people are still complaining about it.

I know first hand that its a known app.

Probably yeah, but it's easily countered by last second switching as Killer.

lol, that's not a problem. and its fair to know what killer they are facing just how the killer knows which survivors they are facing and nothing can convince me differently

dude you can't be serious, right? right? Do you realize that survivors can pick up perks to counter specific killer? Survivors are just skin, you don't know what they are gonna bring. I hope you are just new to the game. Anyway i'll flag your message and hope DEVs will check your account ;)

You know the whole point of the game is not knowing who the Killer is until you see them or something tips you off like the Nurse's shriek or the Doctor's static right? It's unfair to the Killer if all the Survivors know who it is and purposefully build their loadout to counter their powers and make winning next to impossible for the Killer.

Survivors don't play any differently from eachother, all the killer can see that matters is what items they're bringing and for the most part that doesn't really change builds. Being able to see the killer would mean that every trapper would have an object, every myers and ghosty would have Spine Chill, every Hag would see Flashlights, every Doc would see Calm Spirit. It would force a 6 second switch on every killer. Myers and Ghosty would be killed entirely by this if it was made into an official change since they require the early game surprises.

Hopefully it's fixed before the new Locked-Killer Matchmaking (no switching killers once queued) goes live for PC.
This is not an issue (that I'maware of) on Xbox, but that will soon change with Crossplay.
Unfortunately, it sounds like they cannot keep the data hidden, but can only change where it's located
