I am trash at Huntress and dominate with Iridescent Head
It's hard not to dominate when half the team DC's on the first down because they don't want to go against the broken trash that is iri head, right?
Why is this still a thing? I know this is probably like the 10000000000th discussion about this topic, but exactly how many will it take for the devs to acknowledge it? 99% of teams will disconnect the second they realize a Huntress has this add-on, and I don't blame them.
To reiterate: I am a trash Huntress. I play on console, which is part of it, but in general I just don't play her that much. My aim is doodoo, but aim doesn't matter when you can just hug a survivor's back until their hitbox is your entire screen. That a Huntress with almost no experience or skill can reliably 4K with a single add-on is total absurdity. She has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game, and yet her strongest tool can be utilized effectively by a dim-witted monkey. Shouldn't it be the exact opposite? Making it ultra rare and reduce your number of hatchets is simply not enough of a trade-off either.
I've heard Scott, Umbra, and a handful of other Huntress mains suggest that the Iridescent Head have a range requirement; it only insta-downs when you hit a survivor from a certain range, like 20-24 meters. I am 100% down with this idea and I'm kind of baffled as to why it hasn't already been implemented.
I'm almost certain the devs are aware of this, and yet they seem so fixated on all of these changes/balances that nobody is asking for. I know in the world of programming, there's no real "simple fix", but surely making Iridescent Head less lethal would require fewer lines of code than an entire Billy rework...

Devs after watching this discussion: nerf iridescent head.

I mean Huntress is nearly certainly the next killer for an add on pass, if only because she's now the only killer who doesn't have the same spread of add ons by rarity. I don't think they could possibly leave it in when they do that.

It's a bad addon and needs to be reworked, no argument here. I just hope they won't slap a cooldown on Huntress as well.
I'd do it like this - the addon lets Huntress throw 2 hatchets at once. One flies as normal and one is swayed a little bit to left with swaying going further as the hatches flies. Hitting a survivor with two hatchets is an instadown, with one is a normal hit. The attack should consume 2 hatchets at once and the downside should be reduced to -1 hatchet leaving you at 4 hatchets. If Huntress has only one hatchet left she throws it like normal.
Considering that the second hatchet will start swaying quickly it will be impossible to hit someone with both unless they are very close. There is also a possibility to hit 2 people at once but it will be unreliable but seems to me fun if it actually happens.
This looks like a good remake of Iridesent Head.
