Been Suggested Numerous Times Before (Exposed's Name)
I wanted "vulnerable" at first, but suggesting Survivors aren't vulnerable at all other times is meh.
So changing Exposed to Fragile seems like the best one to me.
Why change Exposed's name?
Cause it's the only Status Effect name that confuses people.
And why they get confused is because the meaning "exposed" has, as stated in the first picture.
The argument that they should just read up what the effect does in the ingame help section kinda holds up, but by changing it to this, they could potentially remove a lot of beginner confusion.

I think "In peril", "endangered" "defenseless" or "Threatened" could work.
I agree they could have used a better word choice for it. "Exposed" often confuses newer players into thinking their aura is being read.

How about, "Sentenced to Death" ?
or, "Chosen for Death"
or, "Sudden Death"
Actually, Calling it Sudden Death is the best word I have for it.
I also agree with @Toybasher, Exposed does sound like what Aura reading from Killer side should be called.
... And then the fog whispered in my ear, I had been afflicted by the Curse of Sudden Death...

Vulnerable is a synonym of exposed, to be exposed in that context is to be put in a vulnerable situation, which is more than suitable for the effect.

When I first started I thought for the longest time exposed meant the killer could see my aura along with being able to 1 hit. Changing it would definitely be good for the newer players.

yes, omg. Finally. I've missed seeing anyone post something like this other than me, though I'd like to assume it's happened (I've just gone and found some). We always need another post about this naming convention that's both confusing to newer players and linguistically deceptive (incorrect meaning, incorrect player perspective due to it being a passive participle, etc.).
I'm still a fan of Vulnerable. I don't think it inherently implies that survivors are not Vulnerable otherwise; it just highlights that a survivor is especially Vulnerable when the effect is applied. If a new player sees "Vulnerable" pop up on his/her screen, that player is going to inherently be more careful and will probably say, "Ah, makes sense," when he/she finds out what it does. As for myself, I went, "Why is the effect called that?" which is not what a developer should want players to experience.
I'm also pretty sure the dev team chose the term because they were piggybacking on other games (whose names I've forgotten) who have used "Exposed" to mean what "Vulnerable" means.

That's not so much a nay, moreso me not minding how it currently is.
And that still stands, it's just that i am looking from a personal perspective.
By changing Exposed, it'll realistically only affect those with less than a hundred hours, and i sure am not one of those, hence those comments.
However, simply making it more clear won't hurt anyone.
A comment above here explains how Exposed is synonymous with being more vulnerable.
But that doesn't matter when it still confuses new people because they associate Exposed with its more common meaning.
The reason why i made this post was simply to remind the devs that this is still something simple wanted for the newbies.
(I'd also still like more accessibility.
For example, setting our own Aura colors, that'd be amazing for the (partially) colorblind peeps.)

"Sentenced To Death" and "Chosen for Death" sounds more like you're moriable because you're the Rancor Obsession. Would be a neat status effect if you are eligible for a Mori, although it'd make it extremely obvious if the killer brought a Mori instead of a shroud.

It's fine. Newer survivors are going to be naturally more cautious when they get a screen effect and this status effect

I agree, when i first started the game, and "exposed" status effect from noed poped up, i just yeeted out of the gate, as i thought killer could see my aura all the time. Change is needed for new players.

Yep, exposed is a terrible name. I still prefer "vulnerable" because it's quick and to the point, it basically can't be misconstrued.
I still remember taking at least a few weeks before I knew Michael's power let him down you in one hit rather than see everyone on the map. I used to run around like a crazy person thinking he'd be after me.
