Freddy's generator teleport, which direction will you face?

When you teleport is there a standard rule on what side of the generator you will be facing? I get lost every time I try to use that to fool a survivor. I was assuming that you would appear on the closest facing side to your original location (before teleporting). Thank you for any help.

I would also like to know! I love using his teleport for similar reasons but always needs 2-3 seconds to re-orient myself.
