Add in an in-game chat function. Add in a list of quick key call outs like other team based games. "I'm doing a gen" "I need healing" "I'm being chased" "Generator blocked" ect. Could be hotkeyed or from a radial menu.

Put in a special ping key that when pressed reveals your aura to your teammates for a few seconds and put it on a 10-15 second cooldown while adding in the ping press to the chat log. *X survivor pinged*. Just to make tracking who is who easier.

That last part kinda nullify's the need for things like bond, kindred, and empathy but that's also what SWF does, might as well make it consistent.
