Bond/Kindred and Aura reading perks

Today I have noticed that you can barely make out the Auras of survivors on bond then cant see the aura of the killer even though I have kindred. I can see a slight outline for a minute then disappears. Also cannot see the survivor that is hooked been like this for the last 3 games I have played this afternoon.
