Keys/Ebony Mori rework ideas
By far one of the most frustrating things in the game to go against. For survivors is a killer that only needs to hook you once then down you again to remove you from the game completly, for killer is an item that basically gives survivor a free escape that can also give other survivors that same quick escape, with the killer having almost no options to stop it. Here are my rework ideas for these 2 mechanics that would make them less frustrating while still mantaining their status as strong tools to use:
Keys: Give an action time towards openning the hatch. The person holding the key would have to perform an action (I'd suggest the same time as cleansing a totem or healing) in order for the hatch to fully open. That way a survivor can't just be running away from you and get lucky finding the hatch or just knowing where it is and giving the killer almost no option to stop them from reaching it, they now can use it during those EGC moments where the killer is patrolling the exit gates and isn't checking the hatch anymore, the killer now would have to also patrol the hatch and if the survivor isn't quick enough the killer has time to catch up and kill them.
Ebony Moris: Make it so the killer has to hook everyone at least once before being able to mori. The killer would have to show that they're able to win the chase against all 4 survivors in other to use an Ebony Mori, which is one of the killer's strongest tool to use in a game, sure they can catch a not so experienced survivor quickly, but if they run into a good looper the ebony mori can't be used as an opressive tool to remove someone from the game as quick as possible anymore, not to mention the amount of killers that just tunnel people off the hook to be able to instantly mori them. With this change this is no longer possible, as they would have to hook other survivors, which also encourages not tunneling in the beginning.
Anyway these are just suggestions that I think would make these things not so frustrating and annoying to go against. Would like to know if people would be interested in these ideas and if there are other suggestions to rework them.
