The Rift needs to be based on 'Player Experience' and NOT on 'Challenges'.
EDIT:
There are plenty of players who either don't like the challenges or only like to play killer or Survivor and wont bother with completing all of the challenges which causes them to fall short of completing the Rift, likely causing them to not bother buying it.
If BHVR were smart they would make the rift based off of Player experience instead so that the Rfit wasn't so grindy and allowed for more players to have a chance at completing it.
For example I played so many games last Rift that I got close to a player level prestige but only completed the survivor challenges therefore I still fell short of 70 and I decided not to buy it.
As it stands A whole Player level prestige (100 levels) will only get you around 44 Rift levels. which is roughly 580 games:

I agree.
I also dont like challenges where you are forced to play most useless perk in game and do some stupid things like stay withing 10m radius for 30 seconds... NOT IN CHASE. Or that challenge with QaQ, jump into the locker within first 10s of the chase. All players I know just did it the way of suicide. DEVs want to punish people for suiciding on the hook but they create same kind of toxicity.
Whole XP system is broken. Look, you can sit in the corner whole match (killer or survivor as well) and you get 550XP for time in game. You will try to genrush, pop the gens, cleanse totems, save others from campers and you get 400XP time + 30XP for emblems.🤣🤣🤣
The XP system needs solid rework, like in other games. This should not be only about time in match.

Absolutely disagree
The rift really brings content to games. With my friends we spent our time giving each other challenges before each party to have fun in the game, now the game does it for us and in addition we earn rewards for that
It's just great, no one is forcing you to challenge yourself! Besides that you can have rewards without doing any challenges, you just have to play a lot
(I'm not English sorry if it's not understandable)

There's nothing wrong with the grindy challenges like do so many gens, escape so many games etc, even the challenges to do gens or heal with certain perks are fine. The problem challenges are the do in 1 game (master) challenges that will make some people dc if they can't do it or have done it .
I think a decent fix (or compromise would be a better word) would be that if we must have these challenges then we should have to ability to have a regular challenge and a master challenge active at the same time, that way if you have completed or missed the master challenge, you can still work at the grindy regular challenges and doesn't make you feel like you've wasted the game if you care that much about doing challenges as quick as possible.

Because game gets really stale since there is no challenge or reason to play once reach your personal goal.
Rift gives you both: challenges and thing to level and get cosmetics.
I wish it could be a bit less grindy, but that's alright.

The devs are forcing us to do the challenges in order to complete the rift. Like I said, I put in enough time to do almost a whole player level prestige yet I wasnt able to complete the rift because I didnt want to do the killer challenges.

"The devs are forcing us to do the challenges in order to complete the rift."
Wrong, Rift is completely optional, and have only cosmetic content. It's just you.

Yes the Rift is optional but if you want to reach 70 then you HAVE to do all the challenges. You're missing the point of what I'm saying...

yeah, definitely now more than ever it needs to have a subcondition, something like: "or finish xx matches under any conditions with this challenge accepted. match must be completed, disconnections do not count toward this total."

Yea no. If you purposely choose to limit yourself to only playing 50% of what the game has to offer, then you choose to limit the rewards you get from it too. Challenges are healthy for the game and change up the sometimes unbearable meta to be slightly more diverse.
They're fun and they give most players a reason to play one more game.

Are you afraid of playing Killer or something? Killer challenges are way more easy than survivor ones.

I'd agree if the challenges actually were fun but most of them aren't. A lot of them are boring. "Earn 50,000 Blood points", There's nothing creative or fun about that.
However I dont mind doing those type of challenges. The issue is when it comes to the challenges that are straight up Toxic.
"Get 4 unhooks in one game", They're asking one player to steal half of the 8 possible unhooks in a game. With a lot of these challenges players are straight up throwing games and hurting their fellow survivors to get them completed.
Also there are some challenges that require you to have certain characters and perks unlocked, which just limits people even more.

i'm fine with it for the most part thing is needs less toxic challenges.

I'm not that good with killer because I mainly play survivor. Some of the challenges are ridiculously hard or are ridiculously grindy.
Plus there have been many challenges in the past that can only be completed with purchased killers/perks.
With all things considered, I do what I can to complete the challenges but I ultimately don't enjoy playing killer.
DBD's version of the battle pass model limits a lot of players from being able to complete it. It's like they don't want people to buy it...

I would love if the rift worked in a way like achievements does for he game on steam.
Steam easily tracks the number of unhooks and heals and such you’ve done as survivor. So why not just have a milestone system in place for various tasks and expand on that for every tier, that way you’re not locked to a specific challenge either, but you can potentially do multiple ones per game or at least make progress on mor than one, The amount of times I’ve had people post game go “Sorry, I had a challenge” when they play lvl 1 Ace with 1 perk is just stupid and ruins the game for ones that aren’t doing these challenges and aren’t SWF enough to avoid it.
Sure, it’s mostly an issue on week 1, but there’s a better and less punishing way to go about it, that doesn’t leave you with a 3.5v1 match

Challenges. Not freebies. Not easies. Challenges. You’ll gain more player experience by completing challenges. Some of them are a dick in the dirt.

Not true, If you want it to be an equalizer, you'd want it to be based on how much you play (Player experience) rather than having to complete challenges. A lot of those challenges are ridiculously hard or grindy and some are even locked behind characters you have to purchase.

especially once they get mmr working the way it's intended to, since you'll never get potatos again and most killers are gonna have to convince themselves that good games happen when you only get a single kill or two especially once they ruin moris and leave swf in the game at their mmr ceiling. rifts and killer costumes aren't worth buying any more in my opinion. but they don't care as long as the 4 to 1 majority continue buying the costumes at least. money talks, bullshit walks out the door and let's the queues rot.
