Red Herring Rework
Now this perk is very unpopular, at first I thought that it was simply underestimated, but then I played about 10 matches with it and realized that it can be useful in very rare situations, since the killers do not always pay attention to the explosions at the generators.
I want to improve this perk to make it more interesting and more beneficial to use.
Red Herring
You've noticed that people pay attention to whatever makes the loudest noise.
After you have vaulted a window, it will be highlighted for you with a Yellow Aura.
The Window stays highlighted until you vault another Window or enter a Locker.
Entering any Locker will trigger a Loud Noise indicator and some Scratch Marks for the Killer at the highlighted Windows's location.
Red Herring can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.
Now the perk has a lot of potential in the mindgame, it will be a good combination with some other perks and it will just be much more interesting to play with.

I like your thinking but it’s a lot less convincing for the Killer if the explosion in question happens in a random area on the map, making it a Diversion with an awkwardly long range.
I plan on taking Red Herring for a spin in the future, but from I gather, it’s better used for information and/or the late game when there’s less gens and less Survivors, meaning less places for the Killer to look other than gens.

Maybe add a limit on the explosion radius? then it will be diversion 2.0

...which is exactly what we don’t want, so I think it should stay the same for now. It’s gimmicky and that’s its thing. It depends on how it’s used, and since no one uses it, it’s difficult to measure its effectiveness especially as a distraction perk.
