The Oni Blood Orb glitch

I played as Oni yesterday and was going around and collecting blood orbs. And as i was grabbing the last bit to be fully charged, i let go prematurely and it still absorbed but it put my meter all the way white in a full square. And after that it wouldnt let me collect blood orbs and let me activate my power. So I went around and smacked survivors and it showed me absorbing the orbs but still wouldnt let me activate. So i went the rest of the game w/o it. Im on Xbox 1, not sure if this happened to anyone else.
