If someone stomps the team yet the survivor avoids killer well enough to find the hatch first, that is skill. Minimal, but skill nonetheless.

I had someone on ps4 message me about this very thing. Like, it takes so much effort to send a message through the ps4 friend chat and youre gonna send me a 'you mad bro?' When you hatch escape on a 3k match?
Like lol, nah bro. I ain't mad. I hooked you next to the hatch and walked away to break pallets. I clearly stopped caring if you escaped or not when I walked away.
If someone wants to ######### talk me about a match say something about my tiny knife or ugly hat. Not 'haha ez because I jumped into the singing pit while you were gone.'

Got to remember hatch is there cause the devs never want it to seem hopeless it's a pity mechanic.

Because it shouldnt be hopeless. Say 3 people DC and you are stuck in the room? You can't do any gens and the others didnt complete any. How is that fair? Key in the hatch. Oh hey! Now I dont have to drag the game on for 4 - 5 hours avoiding the killer till he kills me! The last survivor should always have a chance. Every player deserves a CHANCE to escape. And if they do they have every right to gloat because they made it. It's not a pity mechanic but a mechanic that is there for those to carry out their survival at all costs. Even if their team is potatoes

I'll take this thought a step further. It's not about identifying them and shaming them into changing their behavior. It's about not getting upset over stranger's words and knowing how to deal with people who act like that. The world doesn't get smaller, the person gets bigger.

And do I care? I talk down on people because all I hear is whining. Quit complaining about stuff that helps survivors and get better at countering it. Plain and simple. Dont want people talking down on you then don't act like a child who isnt getting what they want, plain and simple. I'll have discussions when people discuss them. If not, be prepared for people like me to look down at you for acting that way.

Lol hatch is there cause you can't control your teammates and they felt sorry for the people stuck with the people who aren't so good otherwise why even add it?

Why allow killers to Noed? Noed is the killers hatch. A last ditch effort to kill the remaining survivors and doesnt take a lot of skill to use. Plain and simple.
And they don't feel sorry. That's just the pricks way of looking at it

I suppose people have different definitions of "winning"
The killer might consider killing the majority, a 3k, winning and the survivor who survived might consider that a win for them.

By that same logic, however, you could say that survivors incapable of finishing gens and opening the door due to the killer sucks for them and they need to get better, which eliminates the hatch problem entirely leaving them in the game to get killed.

No. It means they got lucky. It also means the killer didn’t slug for the 4k, something constantly complained about. So just be thankful, exit your pity door and move on. You lost.

i'll ask you something simple... what is supposed to do a killer once all the gens are done? there aren't gens to defend anymore, there are only survivors to hook/sacrifice on the map... with that in mind, why the killer should leave the hook once all the gens are done? At this point the killer is securing 1/4 of thier goal

Because many of the players on this game are toxic little ######### goblins. I suppose it can also be a reaction to the frustration. Survs will usually cry about the killer's tactics if they are effective(I know I do, 🤣 just only in party chat to my swf mates, I won't generally message people to moan unless they DC or cheat) because people don't like to lose. And most express that by sending snarky messages if they do manage to escape.

I think there’s something going on with newly made accounts. I’ve heard multiple people making this same mistake say the thread appeared on the front page for them. I’d probably make that mistake too if that was the case.

Okay, but at SOME point you have to see a date by accident, right? Or in your peripheral vision. How hard is it to miss the 2020?

I think its actually the search feature. If you just search for things without using any of the sub filters, they seem to be in a completely random chronological order. Im guessing it has to do with a relevance priority instead of a date based one.

Because if they didn't escape, "was it really a skillful play"? Therefore, escaping MUST be skillful. Obviously not true but these survivors don't seem to be in on the joke.
