How about we add an unranked mode instead of adding a MMR system ?
This would be WAY better imo. You could have a place where you can try out new builds, try out new killers and just overall play to have fun. Sweaty SWF groups would be in ranked so killers wouldn't have to sweat.

Just allow for players to add DBD Mobile's bots to Custom Games to fill slots. You get access to all perks/addons and can test with your friends.

Yeah thats gonna stop it. Except solo survivors can still get a new killer playing in there and just Bully them over and over again. Same goes for campers, tunnelers and mori users (unless offerings cant be used). The fact of the matter is that "unranked" would have to be an entirely new mode basically without anyway for the oposition to have "power" over you before dickheads won't abuse it horribly.
Fact of the matter is, mmr was (well not for new players) kind of working. As a red ranker I often got matched with green and yellow rankers that could actually compete with some of the best red rankers I have ever met. Its just that they either didnt play much or depipped on purpose so they could abuse low rankers.
Ofc "depippers" would still be able to go against low rankers if they found a way to exploit the mmr system. Which is why vagueness about how the system works is important.

Only the people who have no idea what they're in for because, as has been noted, that is very unlikely to be what actually happens.

"Unranked mode" is literally what some of the people who have been complaining about the new MMR have been getting, basically just first come first serve matching. That's why you had top tier streamers paired against teams of four brand new players, the matchmaking algorithm was treating them all the same.
