Suggested Changes To All Base Items.

Tier System

  • A revised tier-based system that would make all items uniform with each other.
  • Each tier will have the exact same benefits as the other tiers.
  • Any additional benefits must be done through add-ons.
  • Rarity will now be determined by how many charges the item has.

Charge Use

  • Each item will use the universal "charge" unit.
  • Each charge is consumed over 1 second of use.
  • Each click to use the item automatically consumes 1 charge.
  • Add-ons that add charges will have their values adjusted accordingly to each tier difference.
  • Add-ons that add charges will all become more common.

Changing Rarity

  • Remaining charges will change the rarity of the item at the end of the match.
  • Remaining charges below the starting tier level will reduce the rarity of the item.
  • Add-ons that add charges will be consumed once the number of charges provided by it is used up.
  • Remaining charges above the starting tier level will increase the rarity of the item.
  • In this instance, the add-on will still be consumed.
  • Items cannot be upgraded beyond Ultra Rare.
  • If item cannot be upgraded, the add-on will not be consumed.

Flashlights - Used to blind killers, certain killers are more affected by flashlights. 2 seconds per tier.

  • Common: ??? Flashlight - 6 charges (new item)
  • Uncommon: Flashlight - 8 charges
  • Rare: Sport Flashlight - 10 charges
  • Very Rare: Utility Flashlight - 12 charges
  • Ultra Rare: ??? Flashlight - 14 charges (new item)

Med-Kits - Moderately increases the speed that you heal others. Unlocks the self-healing action. 4 charges per tier. Values could be higher to off-set upcoming changes to healing speed.

  • Common: Camping Aid Kit - 16 charges
  • Uncommon: First Aid Kit - 20 charges
  • Rare: Emergency Med-Kit - 24 charges
  • Very Rare: Ranger Med-Kit - 28 charges
  • Ultra Rare: ??? Aid/Med-Kit - 32 charges (new item)

Toolbox - Moderately increases repair speed. Unlocks the sabotage action. 20 charges per tier. Removes Alex's Toolbox

  • Common: Worn-Out Tools (name change?) - 100 charges
  • Uncommon: Toolbox - 120 charges
  • Rare - Commodious Toolbox (name change?) - 140 charges
  • Very Rare - Mechanic's Toolbox - 160 charges
  • Ultra Rare - Engineer's Toolbox - 180 charges

Maps and Keys are very situational, so I'm not sure how to give them a tier system. At least with the map, it could probably only be used for x amount of seconds, increasing per tier, with a reading range of 8 meters across all tiers. I don't use maps very much, and most of the time don't find them useful.

    Flashlight
    Battery - adds 2 charges (no change)
    Heavy Duty Battery - add 4 charges (no change)
    Long-Life Battery - add 6 charges (no change)

    Med-Kit
    Bandages - add 4 charges (currently adds 6)
    Self-Adherent Wrap - add 8 charges (currently adds 6)
    Gauze Roll - add 12 charges, becomes Rare (currently adds 8, Uncommon)
    Gel Dressing - add 16 charges, becomes Very Rare (currently adds 10, Rare)

    Toolbox
    Scraps - add 20 charges (currently add 15)
    Wire Spool - add 40 charges (currently add 30)
