BBQ should be nerfed.
BBQ is one of the most OP perk. I literally dont understand, why is so powerful. Lets compare BBQ and We will gonna live forever.
Meanwhile survivor must take protection or make safe rescue, for killer is no extra effort. Killer MUST hook survivals. Both gives bonus bloodpoints. Ok
But. If you have BBQ you see auras. If you have WWGLF, you dont see anything. Instead of you risk own life for saving smb. Mostly you must use other perk like borrow time for example, that can help you.
So my suggestion is: Split perk to two.
first one: show auras
second one: give stackable bonus.

Don't think so.
The aura thing can be countered by hiding in lockers or staying close to the killer.
The BP thing doesn't affect at all the gameplay.

its also 4v1

IMHO BBQ is fine. I definitely think it's a very strong perk though. The aura reading isn't exactly amazing but it gives the killer a guiding hand where to head next to keep momentum up and discourages camping. The BP bonus is the cherry on top.
Counterplay is assuming every killer has it, hiding behind a generator, faking moving one direction for a bit after the hook, hiding in a locker, running distortion, etc.
Ideally the BP bonus from BBQ and WGLF could be made base-kit (All killers and survivors have it), and BBQ would be JUST the aura reading, and we'd need to make a new effect for WGLF. (Unhooking a survivor shows the killer's aura for a bit? Although then it'd be too similar to Babysitter)

When you compare it with WGLF, WGLF is trash.
If you want to balance WGLF, it need some more then just +XX% BP. Like combination with Detective Hunch.
Or rework BBQ only for BP.

I main survivor and I think BBQ is fine. It prolongs games because you have to hide in a locker during a hook (advantage for killer), but then it also gets rid of what is usually the primary tracking perk for killer. For many killer players, it is the key for them to finding survivors to win. It is strong against oblivious survivors, but it's also easy to counter if you go into a locker or run closer to the killer. Additionally, survivors can use BBQ to their advantage. I can't count the amount of times I've baited a killer with BBQ, gone the other way or made him chase me for an extended period - buying my team the time they needed to finish gens and/or heal up.

If you're going to compare BBQ and WGLF, then of course BBQ will look OP. We're Gonna Live Forever doesn't actually do anything, it just provides a BP bonus post-trial. Nearly any perk can look strong when compared to a perk that does nothing.
BBQ & Chili also isn't unbalanced, especially after the various changes it has received since its introduction. Most killers just run it because it is a decent tracking perk AND potentially doubles their BP from just doing their objective.
There are a lot of options available for countering it, including:
- Hiding in a locker (blocks aura reading)
- Crouching behind a generator (makes it harder to see the survivor's aura if angled well)
- Mindgames (run one way for 4 seconds, then go somewhere else. Alternatively, pretend to repair a gen for a few seconds, then book it if you suspect BBQ)
- Being nearby when the caught survivor gets hooked (only reveals survivors further than 40m from the hook)
- Be on a small map (higher chance to get the above option with no extra effort required)
- Use Perks (Distortion, Sole Survivor, Off the Record). Even if they kind of suck, they do counter BBQ.
If you are really having trouble with BBQ, then please grant the perk a little more respect when you think it's in play and choose one of the many options available to you for avoiding it.

For Christ's sake, not another suggestion about BBQ from someone who never played killer in his life.
BBQ tracking function is quite weak. Any killer will tell you they're using the perk for the BP bonus. Otherwise, there are MUCH better tracking perks out there. There are also lots of counters to it for free.
And lastly, the whole idea behind the perk that it discourages both camping and tunneling, the two things survivors complain the most about.
Please people, stop suggesting changes without having experience in the game. Cheers.

:D I play killer for 2 years and survival for 1,5 years. And still think, this perk is too much if you compare with others killer perks (except op noed) and WGLF. Its like every game is same. BBQ, NOED/ruin, 50% pop goes and 4 smt else. Boring and same. For months.

I have a hard time believing that. 2 years and still such little understanding of the game?
Killer is up against FOUR survivors, 16 perks. Of course there is no space for a perk that has no in game effect, plus, we all need a BP boost, considering the grind. If you said that other killer perks should be given a similar BP bonus effect, I'd agree. But why neuter an already weak perk?
You didn't really say anything about my points either. About how ridiculously easy it is to counter BP, and how it's supposed to discourage camping and tunneling. Any thoughts on these?

1vs4. Killer perks have to be stronger. So no, bad idea.
But We gonna Farm forever could need a little QoL-change.
3 -
Maybe consider why they run those perks instead of just asking for nerfs. There is a problem that only one build is truly viable at high level play, where survivors can make use of multiple perk builds.
It is the same issue that Ruin used to adress before it's rework. It needed to happen, but not before the issue was adressed (which it still isn't).

I would rather they still change DS.

Well, there are other perks that bring bonus bloodpoint.
Distressing Gain 100 % more Bloodpoints for actions in the Deviousness Category.
also
- Gain 10 % more Bloodpoints
- for actions in the Hunter Category for each Token.
- Survivors' cleansing speed is reduced by 4/5/6 % for each Token.
- Gain a notification when someone starts working on a Hex Totem.
+ offering
It is like: How much point could killer get? If you bring BSP, it is like: please tunnel me, slug me, camp me, becuase I need 4k and 100K bloodpoins so badly!!!!!
I always farm 5x better with killer than witch survival.

BBQ is fine. If you are so worried about your aura being revealed just position yourself behind an incomplete gen, hide within terror radius or hop in a locker. Personally I like the killer seeing me across the map with it, this way they might actually leave proximity of the hook to come chase me while my team mate gets saved.
As for WGLF its pretty easy to get stacks, just take a hit when the person is picked up or get on those unhooks. Also chance of body blocks during EGC etc. As for wanting it to have something secondary like Aura reading, what good will that do, take a hit or unhook safely and then see the killer for 4 seconds?

don't need to be berf it get countered really easy most just use it for the points.

I don’t use BBQ and Chili personally because I don’t care about the out of game bloodpoint bonus and it’s auras aren’t enough by themselves to be worth using over some of the other perks I could use instead. (Killers with long distance map movement like Freddy and Blight and Billy might be exceptions though since they can get to the auras of long distance survivors quickly. Most killers can’t though.)
It would be interesting though to see a poll of killers who would use BBQ and Chili if they got rid of the bloodpoint bonus and it was just a tracking perk. My guess is some people might still use it but most would drop it.

There are 6+ counters to the perk, one being just stand still for 5 seconds. Learn the counters and stop being lazy.

BBQ is absolutely fine, easily countered and for the killer, makes it a bit more bare-able to have a bad match but still walk away with decent bloodpoints.

Are you comparing DS with BBQ? seriusly?

I don't think it's that overpowered, there are ways to outplay bbq.

BBQ has following counters:
Go inside a locker.
Get in a 40 meter range of the hock.
Hide behind a gen.
Its also your fault if you are not countering it and after that you are not moving at all. Many times you will also be so far away that the killer wont bother going for you and instead go for nearby survivors. BBQ is totally fine and I mean I can understand if people complain about perks like NOED, even if someone complains about devour I can kind of understand it. But BBQ???? Are you serious? How much playtime do you have?

bbq got maybe 4-6 counters and its just 4 seconds. Hide behind gen, hide inside a locker, if something this perk is good cause it discourage killers from camping the hook.
0 -
I have never told, that BBQ cant be counter. I just said that auras + 100% bloodpoins seems to much to me.
If I compare BBQ and WGLF, its much more better. If I compare BBQ with a lot of other killers perks, again...it is more powerfull. Every perks can be counter.
I would like to see some huge stats of all perks. Numbers, % of using all of them. Maybe we would be all suprised.

I personally only run BBQ for the bloodpoints. The info you get from it becomes outdated really quickly, and allows the survivor you hooked to be easily unhooked. Idk what is so bad about gaining hella bloodpoints.
Yes, BBQ is really good compared to other killer perks, but it doesn't really do anything detrimental to the survivor team. Plus it gives them a free unhook.

BBQ and WGLF are the only perks which add bloodpoints over the 8k cap in each category.
A killer who uses their power or chases enough to get 8k deviousness or hunter points would get the exact same amount of points if they had distressing or thrill, they only reach the 8k cap faster.
0 -
BBQ or NoED? your choice.
0 -
It's not too much lol. If you're really that upset over bloodpoints, then just buff WGLF so that both sides get a lot of points and have an extra effect.
