Can single characters be on sale?

Hi
I was wondering if single characters are able to go on sale. There are times where the bundles are on sale in the steam store but I bought Michael on his own 2 years ago and now I'm thinking about buying Laurie Strode.
Can she go on sale or do I have to buy her with auric cells?

In order to buy single characters you do need to use auric cells.

I think you can also buy characters with blood shards. Don't hold me to that, though
