Honestly, without addons she is relatively balanced. Once you increase duration, movement speed and everything with stridor she becomes an unstopabble force. But basekit, she has to get pretty close which takes time.

Also, use iron will. Not just for spirit, its one of the best perks in the game. The only true survival perk

Despite trying to have a positive chat and community I feel like Tru3 constant complaining about every little thing and doing what you say harms the community and player feedback, at least for in regards to his viewers. This is the man who claims every time he lunges early and misses he complains about dead hard, or if he gets outplayed complains about stream sniping.

Imagine reading threads. Every time someone points out real arguaments in response to a post like this you guys never actually reply!

That when people state that easy to decimate killers can be just as unfun, if not more to play against than a no counterplay high tier killer it just gets ignored.

I detest playing against Spirit and Deathslinger because I know I'm probably going to have a dull match because of the lack of interaction in chases and knowing that every outcome will be decided by a one sided guess. But winning/losing to those two isn't enough to make me put the game down and play something else. Playing against a slowdown Legion or NOED Clown is, for example.

The worst part? I love playing Clown even though he's trash. All these killers are incerdibly fun to play... for the killer. But he's boring to play against.

I LOVE playing against Billy, Oni and Hag and I find them to actually be a threat instead of a bore. Heck, Oni's roar when activating his power alone is enough to spook me off gens.

These are all strong killers, some of which counter loops but add new gameplay into them (focusing on healing to avoid spawning too many blood orbs and mindgaming if the Oni knows his loop setups, keeping track of pallets and dead zones to not end up in a area where billy can get a chainsaw off and paying attention to where he may be from chainsaw noises, crouching through high traffic areas and near hooks to avoid giving Hag her mobility). These killers are great because a survivors skill outside of holding W and praying that the killer misses his shot, or throwing down a pallet and hoping Spirits phase is almost run out so she can't get round, can actually affect an outcome of the chase. This doesn't mean getting the W and escaping every time like some seem to think it implies. I see people on here seem to imply that a survivor should never be able to win a chase which is ridicolous, usually saying "But 4V1" as if that means anything.

With Spirit either she has Stridor (you'll lose the chase) or she doesn't (you'll lose the chase unless you have IW) . With Deathslinger or Pyramid Head you don't juke, they miss.

This is why I'm actually quite hyped for the Blight. I enjoy killers where I know I outplayed the survivor 1-to-1 be it through mindgaming at a pallet, guessing a dead hard or just by mastering the power. Not winning because the survivor was forced into a lose/lose situation because I spammed ADS as Deathslinger/Punishment of the damned near a window or a one sided guess that had no way out.

I don't dislike (and I assume this is the case for many others) that I can't just loop Spirit/DS/PH and win. I find looping incredibly boring as do most. This is a strawman argument used by people un-interested in an actual debate.

Unfortunately with the constant nerfing to stealth its the most viable strategy when working in a team and the devs have made it clear its here to stay.

But when you have a killer that can so strongly counter this existing play style, whilst not adding anything new inbetween (Deathslinger ['just dont get hit by the unreactable shot 4head' isn't counterplay] and Pyramid Head), or worse, removing this and replacing it with pure RNG (for the survivor, the spirit will always know where you are 100% of the time if they know how to play)), you create major balance issues.

Huntress is an incredibly strong killer, but she's fair (base kit anyway). Outside of obvious server lag, I've never felt cheated when losing to a Huntress. I know that I lost because I got outplayed.

The worst thing about that for Spirit is the 'counterplay' is an actual hard counter to her entire power. A single perk that can remove her entire viability, especially with how buggy other sounds are. It's bad design. Spirits HAVE to use Stridor at low ranks because it's a very good/meta perk or they're intentionally limiting themselves.

Personally I'd like to see Spirit be reworked to a point where she doesn't live or die depending on if she bets on the survivor having/not having Iron Will. Her actual phasing part of her power I like a lot. I have no clue how I'd fix PHs projectile or Deathslinger as a whole. Perhaps just make Pyramid Head have to commit more to dropping his sword to prevent spamming M2 to get a free pallet drop/vault AND hit.

This is probably the most extensively I've written about my opinion on this matter. I hope it isn't too rambling or unclear.
