¿What does Exposed means in this game?

i´ve been trying to do a quest of the battle pas that says "hit with your weapon 5 exposed survivors" and idk what does that means :c

    The survivor can be insta downed. Some examples is Myers Tier 3 hits, Haunted grounds hits and Noed hits. You just need to get 5 hits with anything like that.
