Fix medium vaults
So after experiencing bad medium vaults then learning that the hitbox stays at the place you vaulted for an extra second! Alright so either fix medium vault hitboxes or revert back to an earlier patch that made fast vaulting possible with little space. As long as you waited before pressing your input you would get a fast vault.
If you added this not only would you not have to try and fix your medium vault hitbox it would provide survivors a new thing to learn. It's also frustrating knowing that in certain situation all I can do is medium vault if I swing out for a fast vault I'm getting hit. Mostly because the hit validation system is poor.
So any other wors you get hit no matter what you do.
Anyways point is fix medium vaults or revert back to the best version of fast vaults I think patch 2.5.0 January. Until next time.

No being able to fast vault at very short distance would be a horrible thing to go back to.

Yeah I actually understand where you are coming from but I made a proposal if they fix medium vaults there is no need for it. Also it's a skill cap back then nobody was fast vaulting meat tree from counterclockwise I bet you couldn't even do it.
Point is if they fix medium vaults all is well.

I never really have an issue with medium vault hitboxes. After you vault you are still right at the window so the killer can of course still hit you. Only once you gain a bit of distance you shouldn't be able to get hit anymore. And that's honestly how medium vaults work for me most of the times. But admittedly servers occasionally grants the killer a bs hit, that's for sure.

I'm not biased nor am I baiting medium vaults are real issue it's like no matter how amnynsteps you take or how far you fall down it's a hit. If you find this fair you are the biased one.

Do you remember when the fast vault pushed you back? and the killer always hit you? well ... they fixed it and I don't think it was latency issue.
the mechanics are fine, the hitboxes are bs

The real skill it takes as survivor is to learn where you can fast vault and how. You want to remove that to have easy fast vaults. No dude, just train.

Having good Ping does not mean that Latency is gone, even with Hit Validation. The Killer can have 60 Ping as well, this is still 120 Ping difference between you two. And this is nothing where BHVR can do something, this is just how latency works.
Besides that, Medium Vaults are fine. You should not be immune just because you press Shift (or whatever) before vaulting a window.

I have mastered fast vaulting I'm good at it but you cant fast vault some windows or you have no time to set for one. So it's a hut regardless becaus le of broken hitboxes.
So once again do you think it's fair for you to take multiple steps and get hit?
Also fast vaulting from close ranges required timing and precision not everyone was fast vaulting meat tree counterplay.

Well since medium vaults don't carry the same momentum as fast vaults that 1s exta is the regaining of lost momentum after preforming the medium vault. Reverting back to fast vaults from any direction is the most skilless decision devs could take.
I'm all for fixing the servers so that bad hits stop screwing survivors but to make medium vaults stronger just because is imao a very bad decision. Good survivor already manage to force fast vaults on almost all windows besides the few that are desgined by the devs to be forced medum vaults.

I'm not talking about 2016- early 2018 fast vaults. I'm talking about the one from January of last year. You cant say it's making medium vaults stronger when visually my character is no where near the window therefore I should not be going down.
That is not fair. Besides fast vaults right now are trash and limited nothing special about them I can fast vault all the windows I can but I'm restricted nothing new to learn about them and when I do hit them I take steps and get hit through the window anyway.

No the only infinite it could create is fun bus which is already an infinite with fixated. Give me an example of an infinite it could create. It damn sure never made meat tree an infinite you would have to shift tech but I dont think it would be possible.

The main building of Grim Pantry, which has two open windows right next to each other. If you could fast vault both windows from either side the killer would either have to walk around to the other side of the wall (and you could fast vault back), or they would have to vault a window (and you could vault back through the other window). Short of mindgaming them around a corner and hoping they screw up there would be no way to catch them.
I bring this up because when the game first launched killer shacks had two windows and were infinites for survivors.

That distance is way too close even for the older vaults think of the meat tree wall that prevents fast vaults that's how close you could be to get it. I dont want fast vaults that close thsts unfair.

Yeah, it wouldn't be fair. The old killer shacks weren't fair either. But you wanted an example, and so I provided one.
Overall I think that while the medium-vault hotboxes don't make much sense from the survivor's perspective they're balanced pretty well (latency/dedicated issues aside). Ive been going against a lot of vault builds recently (spine chill + resilience), and it can be very frustrating that these players seem to have i-frames while vaulting windows and can just mindlessly huck themselves over vaults even when I read them perfectly. If every survivor could do that by default then playing killer would be much MUCH harder.

Medium vaults make you lose momentum. That's why you move slower when exiting the animation. If you didn't lose momentum, the animation wouldn't have enough time to complete before the survivor is running away.

They arent fair but that's old shack I'm talking about an example that is within the old vaults limits.
The medium vault isnt balanced nor fair. If the survivor is taking steps regardless sof what you feel or think and the weapon is no where close to him they should not be getting hit that is not fair.
Yeah vault build is strong and when you say it's frustrating to be beaten while making a good read its frustrating to know you are safe make the vault then get hit due to poor game design.
Never said increase vault speed I want the hitbox to actually follow where the survivor is so unfair hits actually stop happening. You are clearly accustomed to it that's why you rather them stay.

You're not wrong when you say it's what I'm accustomed too, but faster vaults would mean briefer hitboxes, which is what you're arguing for.
I've always viewed medium vault hitboxes as allowing them to hit you OVER the window. Medium-vaulting doesn't just slow you down, it gets you less distance from the window. For some reason a lot of survivors see windows as some impenetrable wall that killers cannot hit through, but - y'know - they can. I've always felt that the trailing hitboxes on medium vaults are allowing killers to hit you over the window just as you reach the other side.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is that hitboxes should move with the character.
I'm tired of being hit after the killer lunges around a corner and hitting where I used to be, not where I am.
Note: I'm not complaining about being hit through windows.

No that's fair but I'm talking about when I take 3-5 steps and get hit not as I reach the ground that's dumb. Medium vaults dont give much momentum.

Shack is an infinite if you shift tech with fixated but a simple mindgame can make chase begin so that's not true. Shack would not be an infinite.
