The Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe was nerfed to severely

I think there are too many conditions and straight up nerfs to this add-on to justify it being an ultra-rare add on.

It used to heal 2 health states instantly, now it only heals one BUT after 16s, BUT is cancelled after changing health states or being picked up, and it still consumes your medkit after use.

I think the 16 seconds is fine, I'd just change 2 things, allow it to heal 2 health states again, this way it can have synergy with styptic agent, or be able to fully heal a down survivor again, and remove the instant consumption of the med kit, but keep the killers ability to interrupt it by picking up a survivor, or by downing them, it would be pretty BS if a survivor can be downed then fully heal because of the timer ran out. I would like to see it function like adrenaline, where once unhooked the timer starts again but that might be a tad too strong.

While it doesn't have to be my proposed changes, I hope we can agree it's too weak for what it is, killers can get insta down add ons, perks, and even mori's, and the insta heal was the survivors version of that, but was nerfed extensively, with a lot of conditions placed on it.

Like I said, it doesn't have to be my proposed changes, but it was nerfed into the ground. It shouldn't be "ultra-rare" anymore. Killers ultra rare are add ons that insta kill or allow moris. Honestly, 2 health sttates won't do jack if we're talking about an ID Huntress, Bubba, a good HB, plague, etc.

    Yeah, I like your idea

Most ppl who play or enjoy killer side more will probs disagree, but I feel it was nerfed too much, also even believe tool boxes were nerfed just a bit too much for a team of solo survivors who aren’t on coms.

SWFs we’re abusing those privileges too much and they were taken away from everyone.

Don’t understand why devs won’t just make SWF & solo separate, where players MUST have 4 ppl to SWF or else play solo. Then adjust the items/ add ons/ perks accordingly for both sides in both ques, like two versions of all for each que. Better balance.

You are right we have to take on account 4 people using syringes but also take on account this is a pink add-on and compare it to other pink stuff like Iridiscent head, Fragant tuft of hair and Redhead's pinky finger. Syringes do not have to be as strong as other pink stuff since you can have 4 people using them but they still cost 7k and they are not that good for such BP cost.

I think they should be lowered to 6000 BPs.

Except two of those add ons are expected to be changed in the future.. iri head is definitely getting changed when huntresses add on pass comes by and not too crazy to think that red head would be next, and Tuft of hair is fine and has counterplay not really op.

quite honestly I enjoy the syringe now, when it was first Nerfed I definitely hated it

Here we go again with "its fine, it has counterplay etc" Im not criticizing those addons or their strength nor asking for nerfs nor claming they are broken or OP or anything at all. Im just comparing a 7k BP addon to others and asking for a price reduction since one of those is lackluster and not deserves to be priced at 7k (nor the rainbow map, or the BNP or several other pink Killer add-ons which should have a reduced price too).

Cant we have a discussion without people flocking with the "US VS THEM!!" mentality?.

You only counter one argument and there was no us vs them, im just saying you are comparison is poor because 2/3 of the add ons you compared it too are most likely being changed and then the third isn’t really that special but you know ignore the tuft of hair, what about the other two? They are being changed. The syringe is in a fine spot atm and can be used to extend a chase even longer! Which can really hurt the killer, survivor ultra rares should be strong but they are not ment to be compared to killers.

EDIT as for the price reduction, 1000bp? Really? Doesn’t make much a difference and just sounds pointless

There is no US vs Them, we all play the same game im not killer sided or survivor i play both sides and can see and understand the balance behind such things

You didnt counter my point either, my point was "This Ultra rare is not that great to be worth 7000 BPs, can we lower it a bit?" the comparison was to show ultrarares that are good and what a 7000 BPs item should be, I didnt even call for a buff as I already said "4 people can have syringes".

You just came, wrote some things about those addons being perfectly fine (which I didnt put in doubt as I didnt ask for any nerf) or being supposedly changed in a future and that has nothing to do about a sugestion of lowering the cost, I dont see why I have to counter some arguments that have NOTHING to do with what I posted or is being discussed in the thread. Cant we have a discussion about one subject in this forum without the mains coming to derail threads?.

Also, oranges are better than apples, now you have to counter my argument about fruits too even if it has nothing to do with DBD.

Okay you’re delusional as you did argue it as you compared it to other ultra rares, not wasting my time trying to reason with you further with this unreasonable mentality you have to not understand what I’m trying to say, I’m just gonna ignore this thread.

What about switching the rarities of Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe and Styptic Agent? The Agent seems stronger than the Syringe now, anyways.

  • HectorBrando
    HectorBrando Member Posts: 3,167

I did compare one ultra rare to 3 good ultra rares and said "this one is not as great as others, could we lower its price?" your point was "those are fine or being changed and syringes dont need buffs".

I disagree. Myers has instant downs and instant mori's, yet he isn't OP. Bubba has the potential to instant down the whole team, but he still isn't OP.

you noticed killer is only one but survivors are 4 right? imagine 4 having 4 iri head add on power similar.

Only thing I think they should change about it is not consuming the whole kit on use, just the addon.

This game suffered from OP ultra rare stuff on both sides for too long now and they need to go the other direction with ultra rare stuff.

They can't make seperate 4 men swf queue since those would get close to zero killer.

Most people don't want to play against a coordinated team with option to out-of-game comms that substitute for roughly 10 information perks.

And part of those that would not mind to do and maybe even constantly win, could be jerks that enjoy stomping solos more.

The random factor of swf size and distribution makes it more fair for all survivors to be able to play (not talking about killer vs survivor balance here.

    Jus an idea.

Sths gotta change, or it’ll all just continue on being frustrating for ppl on both sides.

  • Xyvielia
    Xyvielia Member Posts: 2,418

    No.

    What I’m proposing is:

If players want to play SWF then they load up like they do now, only with 4 players minimum to be able to SWF.

Then they are all 4 loaded into a lobby as usual.

Randoms ready up in their solo que and will be loaded into their own lobbys, together with other Randoms.

Killers are loaded in, jus the same, oblivious to wether or not it’s a SWF, jus like they are now.

    Randoms will be with randoms.

    SWFs with SWFs.

Killers don’t choose anything. They ready up in their character select and are loaded into a lobby with either a SWF team or a random team... they won’t know which.

Devs adjust the perks and items and such, accordingly (as I mentioned in my other post) for EACH SIDE (Random side/SWF side and stop touching Killers and their stuff!) to balance the matches so killers aren’t getting destroyed by SWFs and Randoms aren’t getting annihilated by killers.

Until this happens, the game could carry on the same way it is currently, with devs nerfing “this” and “that” on both sides and never progressing into any form of balance.

I don't know if that's a good fix, but what I do know is you illustrated the problem plaguing DBD, Killers complain about SWFs and demand nerfs to weaken them, but by balancing the game around SWFs you in adversely severely weaken solos, hurting them more than they hurt SWF. So SWF adapt and create new strategies to escape the killers and solo players get shafted and have to deal with boosted killers with nerfed perks, it's a problem. The game is too easy for Killers against randoms but too difficult against well organized SWFs.

  • Xyvielia
    Xyvielia Member Posts: 2,418

    Yep, precisely! That’s it!

There has to be a better way than the back and forth nerfs on both sides.

I'd probably leave it the same except remove the addon on use like Brand New Part and not the entire kit, and also to to leave it on if the state changes.

So you wouldn't get 2 heals, but you wouldn't lose the heal if you healed someone from dying to injured while it was active, or if you were injured and went to dying and got slugged.

Another way to do it would make it so it's actually giving you the healing progress, so if you were dying with 50% recovery, and then the addon were used, it would actively heal you to injured with 50% remaining toward a full heal.

  • burt0r
    burt0r Member Posts: 4,163

Ah okay I misunderstood then, my bad.

But another thing, what about 3 men swf? They would need 1 random.

And two 2 men swf would also need their own balancing.

Seems like too much work for the devs for them to actually do it.

Or rather they would take ages to accomplish that judging from their speed for stuff like mmr, crossplay, getting the matchmaking fixed or rework stuff like it huntress/keys/Moris.

  • Xyvielia
    Xyvielia Member Posts: 2,418

Yeah, Behaviour needs more personnel to properly keep up with all the everyday tasks. Eventually, they’ll have a bigger team, jus takes a bigger budget.

It’s easier if they eliminate 2&3 man SWFs all together and jus keep SWFing to a 4 team only. So if ppl wanna SWF they must have 4 players readied up in their que in order to be able to get to the lobby with the killer. If they don’t have a 4 person team then they can’t SWF and can only random que individually.

  • burt0r
    burt0r Member Posts: 4,163

The problem is if you take out the 2 & 3 men's, people will once again start lobby dodging in hopes of playing with their mates.

This was the case before swf was unlocked at release of the game. People dodged lobbies until they found their friends leading to immens waiting times.

A probably fruitless behaviour since the player pool increased thanks to crossplay.

  • Xyvielia
    Xyvielia Member Posts: 2,418

Wow, well with so many more ppl playing DBD now, it doesn’t seem easy to continuously dodge lobby’s and actually team up with ur friends.

I’m sure ppl would try it, but probs get bored after while and jus find a few more good players to add to their SWF
