Stopping Generator Regression should require 3 seconds of repairing
It feels kinda unfair that survivors can just tap the gen to stop the regression while it takes killers more than 2 seconds to kick it, which doesn't regress it that much in the first place, and regression speed is so slow.
And yes, before you ask, I'm bringing this up cuz of survivors tapping gens mid-chase.

I... agree and disagree... 3 second is way to long to stop regression from a survivors point of view. Tapping is also a problem with killers unless BHVR wants to increase regression speed.
Personally I would like to see a built in overcharge. After 1 second of repairing a regressing generator you are guaranteed a skill check. If missed generator continues to regress. If successful generator stops regressing until kicked again. This would stop gen tapping mid chaze but also not cripple survivors beyond playable.

sure three seconds might be too much. I'd be fine with the same length we have right now where we have to wait a couple of seconds after a skillcheck is missed to continue filling the bar.

Don't hold your breath about this becoming a mechanic in the game. They have plaster fixed the issue with The Blight's perk in the new chapter...once again.

I'd probably suggest 1 second, personally. That would still be enough to stop a mid-chase gen tap.

My issue with the Blight perk is it is pretty plaster but not a fix to the inherent problem. Adding expose status doesn't do much if survivor is injured alrdy or has DS. Even with becoming exposed stopping the gen regression eats up a killers time exponentially. Not only do they still have to hook downed survivor but then run back and kick gen again, or vice versa. The problem is still there with no real fix.

That's my point really. Plaster fixes are so common to this game, but none of them are ever worthy solutions. The fact they made this perk just tells me that the gen tap issue is far from being worked on

1 second is not enough when killer is breaking a pallet.
Like.... Instead of fixing one thing that will only require them to change some values in the code, they go ahead and create a perk for it... it's ridiculous. They are profiting off of their core issues.

I don't think it's a problem that a Survivor can stop gen regression if the Killer chooses to break a pallet.

No thanks, I rather killer not hold the game hostage in a 3 gen set up, thanks.

??? Don't they already? Don't get 3 gen'd. Learn how to scout out all the gens before gluing yourself onto the closest gen to the one you just finished.
You make it sound like the killer chooses to leave chase to go break a pallet 30 meters away. I say it because there are many gen / tile set ups that require the killer to break the pallet in order to reach the gen. As in, they have no choice but to break the pallet.

There's 4 survivors, even if I consciously play to not be 3 gen'd doesn't mean the other survivors are thinking of that.
Either way it's still possible to win even during a 3 gen set up, but this change would be straight up BS in a 3 gen set up, so no thanks. There's already a lot of perks that counter gen progression, and the new Killer perk that causes the exposure effect on the next survivor that touchs the gen is already strong af, if the survivor had to stay on the gen and wait 3 seconds WHILE EXPOSED that'd be stupidly OP.
