An update to Legion, trying to make the "Deep Wounds" mechanic actually work.
Deep Wounds Changes
Deep Wounds is now a mechanic unique to The Legion. All other mechanics that currently use it have been updated. The effect has been turned into a simple Bleedout Timer for Borrowed Time and Styptic Agents. The effect has been replaced by a simple endurance effect for Soul Guard. It has been removed entirely from The Deathslinger's Redeemer, with the associated add-ons changed to reduce survivor's movement while reeled.
- Increased Bleedout timer from 30 seconds to 150.
- When a Deep Wound is applied, the timer is not immediately active. The mend action cannot be initiated while the timer is inactive, but the survivor is not prevented from healing.
- When The Legion applies Deep Wounds to a survivor, all other Deep Wounds will Rupture, starting the timer (if it hadn't already), instantly progressing the timer by 30 seconds, interrupting any current channeled actions, and resetting their healing/mending progression to zero.
- Once activated, the timer will not pause until the Deep Wound is mended.
The bleeding from a Deep Wound is heavy, and takes extra time to recuperate compared to a normal injury.
- After mending is completed, the bleedout timer does not immediately reset; its progress persists between wounds, and takes time to recover.
- While suffering from an inactive Deep Wound, your bleedout timer is paused. The same goes for when you are hooked or in the dying state.
- While suffering from an active Deep Wound, your bleedout timer progresses exactly as diliniated above; 1 second per second with 30 second bursts when another survivor gets hit with a Deep Wound.
- While not suffering from a Deep Wound, you will gradually recover your bleedout timer. Regress 1 second of the timer per second while injured, and 2 seconds of the timer per second while healthy.
- After being picked up out of the dying state or being unhooked, you will be restored to a minimum of 90 seconds on your timer.
Add-on Changes
- Smiley Face Pin, Defaced Smiley Pin, The Legion Pin: Trigger condition changed to "when a Deep Wound ruptures"
- Stab Wounds Study: Current effect scrapped. Now decreases the rate at which survivors recover their bleed-out timer while not suffering from a Deep Wound.
- Frank's Mix Tape: Current effect scrapped. Increases the bleed out progression caused by Ruptures by 10 seconds (40 total).

I really like the general idea, but I think this is pretty complicated and would be pretty confusing to a lot of people.

On paper, so are Doc and Freddy, but they ended up being pretty simple.
It's a bit hard to explain it concisely, but people would probably figure it out pretty quick.

Only if they're a potato. I understood it perfectly.
It makes perfect sense to me. It sounds like a great idea and like it would actually make legion viable to play.

The main problem I see with this is that it is tied to BT. If you change DW as a whole, you have to take into account BT as well. The obvious solution is to separate the two back into the old BT effect (pre-legion) and DW.

I did.
Top of the post.

I skim read, and must have missed that.

So basically, if survivors spread out (which they already do) against legion, it's like he doesn't have a power, since you'll need to hit at least two players to get ONE DW timer to start... And all of this for Legion to get a no-brainer hit from across the map when pressing m1 at 130% speed, IF he hits multiple survivors.
I don't like this, it still needs a lot of work.

This is a terrible idea, it's too confusing, and there's nothing logical about it. When a person suffers a deep it requires attention immediately because of the bleeding. But with your suggestion the wound doesn't bleed until another survivor suffers a deep wound? What?

don't sound like good idea they need hit at least two players to get one dw timer to start.
