Pyramid Cage Problem

I've just had a match where I've been in Pyramid Head's cage, and everytime the skill check came up, the game did not register any of my attempts to hit the skill check. This was not a case of me missing, as I hit it a little early the first time and yet it still passed through the skill check. I found this very frustrating. Please look into.
