The Blight is weak as hell

I'm on mobile so please forgive any errors.

I've been playing blight since he dropped and I can already tell his power and playstyle is weak and annoying.

Reason 1- he is a map dependent killer imo, he bumps into walls and objects waaay to easily. Maps lake the underground laboratory would be a detrimental to him.

Reason 2- his power should allow a slam on first charge not on his second one. Why can't he attack on his first one. Why does it have to be his second?!

Reason 3 - his very low POV makes everything seem like a blur when the ability is active but also makes tracking a huge pain in the butt.

I believe he's gonna need a straight up buff to POV so we can see cause it feels like I'm just playing a very speedy hag or rework his power.

This is my opinion and I would like to hear some feedback on what others would like to improve on this guy.

The question is, if someone plays him enough to become proficient with his rush so that they consistently avoid accidentally hitting objects and are used to his low frame of reference, how effective will they be with him? Being tricky to play doesn't make a killer bad, just look at Nurse for instance. She's extremely hard to play but she's considered a top tier killer because the people who actually can play her do can exceedingly well with her.

Killer has been released 4 hours ago and you already do a "weak" thread. Do you see how ridiculous it is ?

When you will get 150 hours of gameplay with him, come back.

I have over 2000 hours of play time, I adapt to new killers well and I am very quick on picking up their playstyle but I can tell already that he is weak. Basic loops counter this guy fairly well, it can be a pain to see scratch Marks and his ability is very touchy with collision boxes. He does not bring anything super unique to the table. I say give it a month before you start seeing people actively calling him weak.

Ok, Boss, you know better than anyone else. What about the youtube video from killer mains that do pretty good with the Blight ?

Maybe they adapt faster than you Bruh

Playing against Blights I can say you get a Killer who is trash at Blight, and then you get the Blights who know what they're doing and are a terror to the survivors because of how much map pressure they dish out, their power is like a cross between Nurses and Billys except they have to pin ball to connect hits.

Have your played against the blight?!? His power sucks at loops. Blight is easy as hell to counter. If he's charging you, hide behind a wall or a rock and let his power drain. He can't attack on the first charge so no problem there. And dont run in a straight line.

His power is not to use around pallet... but ye, need IQ above 100 to understand it.It's used to cross the map and between loops.

    Use Spirit fury for loops.

Then ruin and undying. ez 4k.

Oh and yes, be smart enough to have map control.

His mobility is great I will say that but his power in chase's is kinda crap. I will say stack his two speed addons, you become the freaking flash lol.

Nah you're not utilizing his power properly.

Watch TruTalent playing him and take notes.

I will admit he is good but I'm not talking about perks making up his weakness, addons that wallhack or using his power at every available moment. This killer has great mobility but his power in chase's can be severely lacking. His power by itself is just a fast running boi with a crappy turn rate.

If he chases you run around a corner, if your at a loop that's pretty safe just loop it. He can't take corner's like survivors can and you can just treat him like a basic m2 killer.

He can be fun at times yes but his power base kit wise doesn't bring anything great.

Now if we bring his addons and perks into this whole situation, the blight could be a decent killer. Like trutalent, he was using gen perks to make up for the blights weakness and using compound 21 and compound 33. Those all made up for the blights weakness making him decent.

The blight is still weak and I'm still going to practice him BUT, I use him for checking gens and catching up to survivors. To me he is still gonna be weak for a while until the devs give him a small change and fine tune him.

Let's be real most killers are weak in loops, this includes Billy, but he makes up for it with his high mobility giving him insane map pressure, and he can use his power in a chase, easily out running survivors, catching up, or cutting them off, Blights who know how to use his power will land lethal rush hits.

I agree with everything but the lethal rush hits, they suck so bad unless the survivor is a idiot and runs in a straight line

He's actually not that bad in a lot of situations, although certain loops cannot be rushed through, I've been seeing myself getting relatively consistent hits at Junglegyms and Shack faster than I would otherwise. It's all about knowing when and when not to rush. His map pressure is also fantastic due to his mobility. His lunge is a little lacking, but is still good enough to hit people if you position yourself properly and lunge a little bit early to catch left/right movements

People love to compare him to Billy, and the Rush is slightly better mobility wise, and is equal in chase potential.

blight basekit is not that strong. it's his add-ons that are making him strong. granted I'm a console player so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about because he might just be ######### on controller but I do have over 2k hours in the game on console and main nurse.

I've stopped using the compound add-ons because they're just broken. I was consistently at rank 1 with the blight before rank reset and I've won every game with him after the reset. I get hits with my power more often than I get hits without out it. I will say though that to win you need to be versing the team and not an individual player. You've got so much mobility that you can go hit someone who's out of position then if they go to a strong tile you leave them and hit someone else. As soon as you've got all survivors injured you'll snowball into an easy win. In addition there are many loops that you can do well with him. It's basically the same places where you would use demo's dash.

    He's crazy strong.

I don't know how you can say he strong, every match I played against him I have won so far and every match i have played as the blight, I have to sweat my ass off. AS I HAVE SAID, I agree with his mobility is great but his base kit is lacking, it can be made up for broken addons and perks. A POV change would be great or a slight increase to turn rate on the lethal rush lunge. These lunges to me are extremely easy to dodge.

In the end I want a killer that has a solid kit whether it be weak or strong and not this weird one.
