Make regression faster each time that same generator is damaged

seriously it feels futile to damage generators that are being gen tapped repeatedly. Why not just make the regression 5% faster each time it is damaged so that survivors have to actually be strategic about it?

    A perk that does this up to a certain percentage (let's say 30%) would be pretty well balanced. Personally, I like Huntress' Lullaby with Overcharge and Ruin, but that is overkill most of the time and takes 3 slots.

    Then survivors will simply tap it or gen rush even harder and you'll see nothing but Tool Boxes with gen progression addons and perks.

    And trust me buddy, gen regression won’t worsen gen rushing. Theres nothing that can be done to lessen gen rush currently. 

    Dude did you even read the post? THEM TAPPING GENS IS GOOD FOR KILLERS it makes regression faster and faster and faster. It’ll get to the point where the killer can stand next to it for 10 seconds and the progress bar will be all the way down to 50% from 99%.  

    They can bring whatever they want it doesn’t matter I run FD at all times. They won’t have anything if I whack em’. 

    What you think they will will refrain from gen rushing to go easy on us? These are survivor mains we are talking about here buddy. The dip-dip-potatochip disciples. Trust me, no survivor on this god green earth won’t gen rush out of sympathy for the killer.

    Or make it a core mechanic since damaging gens is pointless when survivors need to push and release a button without animation while we pause for 1.5 seconds just to kick the thing and start what has to be the slowest regression mechanic in a video game ever?

    I agree the core core mechanic needs a little boost. Killer kick takes a straight x% off the top and a faster regression.

    Who says they won't have survival perks, that's just wishful thinking for arguments sake. You swap out 1 perk or go with Leader aka Dwight etc. You didn't read apparently since you can tap it it better by just hitting the gen and doing it for 5 seconds.

    What you really want is a free Ruin that lasts, not something to help with en rushing. Well just to be clear the devs have stated they're not doing something like this. Since with your suggestion it'll be all Billy's Nurses more than before since high mobility means run around and do nothing but smack gens.

    Why bother going after a survivor when you can just drag the game out forever by doing nothing but gen smashing. If you'd bother to read the forums suggestions like this have come up repeated and been shot down repeatedly .Most often with sound reasoning for the good ones.

    Oh and nowhere in your post did you say tapping would make the progression go faster negatively.

    Wow you’re quite the condescending one huh? Obviously tweaks will need to be made but that doesn’t mean the idea can’t work. I never said anything about impacting gen progression, just regression. The skill checks can reverse the regression effect by 10% each time they get a great skill check.

    you literally said they will be running nothing but toolboxes with addons and gen progression perks. So what is it going to be? Nothing but gen progression or survival perks? Because you’re implying it’s either one or the other. 

    and trust me you don’t have to tell me what I did and didn’t put in my post. Trust me I know already.  

    If regression wont be faster they could always just cause 5% instantaneous regression upon damage that doesn’t stack.

    I'm not trying to be condescending at all, merely pointing out what you said and didn't say. Now as far as impacting gen progression that does in a sense impact it. The great skill check idea is an interesting twist on your original idea.

    The issue with getting huge regression is once again high mobility killers will just spam going back and forth and killer that're doing well Hag. Will simply get dropped back into the scrap heap along with Freddy since they've got no mobility to contend with.

    As someone else pointed out there's already 2 perks that hinder gen progression on top of the normal damage gen move. If you add even more gen regression you'll make it so it turns into a 3 gen standoff type thing but with 5 gens.

    That’s true, well apologies for the misconception. Either way I just hope the devs go through with adding more objectives for survivors to keep them occupied for longer.
