Blight is harder than Nurse

Yesterday I watch the blight gameplay and he seems difficult but I did want to try him and maybe get some juicy hits,

Sadly, It was not the case, is the most disorienting and difficult killer with fps drops after each slam and the start of each one. Sadly I'm on console and we have a killer that is very hard to play (nurse)...

Someone said blight is like nurse and now I think yes, he's like nurse and even harder...

I have never be so scared to use my power because I just run and it doesn't work at loops because the little time console players have to react and aim perfectly.

I honestly feel like he needs some tweaks to make him more easier like that great idea of 1 sec of inmunity after each slam

Let's hope he can be playable on consoles with time

I wouldn't say he's harder in terms of player skill ceiling, more like you have to work harder to get the same results as Nurse.

I do think nurse is harder. But like ad said, it's personal opinion.

No, he isn't harder to learn then nurse. He has low FOV and hard locks on angles in his power which makes it difficult to use but not hard, it's restricting, not hard. His main learning curve is awerness and map knowledge, everything else is almost brainless due to the limits put on him.

I'm glad for anyone liking this design but imao it's horrible and I wish it never came out. But that's just my two cents.

I don't think he's as hard as nurse, since he's a normal speed killer.

His power is harder to use effectively than nurse, yes, you can just M1 but that is not really fun, is it?

I don't think he is as hard as nurse but he's pretty close, however he's not as rewarding when you land a hit. However I will say his power seems to mostly focus on moving around the map quicker.

Like he looks so great and sounds cool but it seems like he's missing a secondary power or something. Either that or his base kit was good but then they chopped it to pieces in the form of add-ons.

It looks like Blight is harder than Nurse and less rewarding. Nurse can go through walls, floors, objects. Blight has to bounce around them.

Yes Nurse is pretty easy to use blinks, this one will take a lot of time to get good at.

Do you see this killer been played effectively like any other killer on dbd or forgotten like nurse? (console)

im gonna cry if he is forgotten, i dont want a nurse v.2.0 on console

I had to sleep on it the first night of the ptb so my brain could get down the muscle memory necessary to use his power, just like nurse, give it a day or two

It's the nurse, except that he doesn't go through the walls, he eats them!

I had a fit of laughter when I played against him🤣... music, weapon, power... Oh my !!!!!!! I tested it and I understand why killers camp, they are afraid to use the power.

The nurse is much better at power

I wouldn't say he's harder than Nurse (for clarification I'm playing on PC so take that as you will) simply for the fact that Nurse's base speed is 96.25% or 3.85 m/s, in other words she's slower than all survivors (who move at 100% or 4 m/s). This mean when you're playing Nurse you're entirely reliant on your power as it's simply not feasible to run loops like a normal killer. So if you can't use your power effectively, you're not going to be catching a single person- this is what makes her a notoriously difficult killer to play and use.

Whereas the Blight is a 115% base movement speed killer moving at all times at 4.6 m/s, which means even if you can't use his power you've still got the benefit of being an M1 killer and can run loops, mindgame, etc. all as a normal killer so if you're skilled enough at the basics of killer you can still salvage something even if you're poor at utilizing the Blight's ability.

Not only this but the Blight is infinitely better in terms of (horizontal) Map Traversal than the Nurse, even if you can't hit a single lethal rush you can still use all 5 rush / lethal rush charges to cross the entire map and potentially catch / interrupt survivors who are repairing generators, healing, or outpositioned or in dead zones or something. The Nurse technically moves faster while blinking, but she's only got 2 charges at base and a longer cooldown called Fatigue after blinking, whereas The Blight has a shorter injection cooldown on top of the aforementioned 5 charges for his ability Blighted Corruption.

If we're talking about actually using their powers in chase, I think yeah, there might be a possibility that The Blight's ability is actually more difficult to use in a chase than the Nurse, constantly slamming into walls and having to reorient yourself for 5 charges maximum with the possibility that survivors will be trying to hard juke you right or left / 360 you doesn't sound too great. Although I think one could argue those moments aren't ones where you should be trying to get use out of your power in the first place and instead you should be using your ability to catch up to survivors and catch them between loops as they try and move from one to the other.

That being said I want to make clear that I don't think that having a power that's more difficult to use in the chase, doesn't necessarily mean the killer as a whole is more difficult to use. Again, to summarize he's still got that 115% movement speed, and even if it's not used as a chase tool Blighted Corruption can still be used as an extremely quick and efficient way to move about the map and exert map pressure and control.

Either way I think we'll have to give it more time and practice before coming to a consensus about it. I'm not a fan of these knee jerk reactionary threads.

i also play on console and unless you use the addon compound seven he is actually harder than nurse when trying to use his power for a hit otherwise he is just a m1 killer who is good at catching up.
