Rank 2 survivors vs 14 killer?

So I am new to this game and been noticing that every now and then a high rank will snear into my lower rank amateur game...but then I just got my ass completely trolled by this team that turn out to be a full squad of rank 2....so is just this a thing in this game where match making is bullshit?  I mean I'm lvl 31 newbie who here just to play for fun not to be some no lifers amusement...if I want that cancer I'd play ark

    I'm pretty sure it's because they're in a team together. When I (rank 1) play with my brother (rank 19) I usually play against a rank 12ish killer.

    if a low rank (rank 20 - 15) survivor invites his rank 1 survivor friends to his SWF lobby, they will face weaker killers, since the game tries to balance it around the rank 15 - 20 person.
    a lot of survivors do that in order to be able to bully the low rank killers.
