What do you mean by spreading out ? Like who to go after in a chase if they are working on a gen and run in different directions ?

If they are all healthy/injured : go for the one that is weaker in chase or the one dead on next hook.

If they are one healthy and one injured : go for the injured one but only if you know you will down them quicker than just go against a weaker healthy survivor ^^ In a game there is a always a weaker sheep (i know i'm it) that is easier to catch in chase because he/she makes mistakes more often ^^

Identifying the most favorable survivor to chase at the start is crucial - this comes with experience. This isn´t always possible of course, since you can´t exactly choose which survivor you stumble upon first.

The answer to a team of survivors all spreading out doing different gens is simple - take who you can, don´t expect to win, try to improve and pick up nurse if you want to beat smart teams.

It's sucks when survivors do separate gens. My advice is when you chase someone and you notice someone repairing gen - drop the chase and scare him off. Don't break the gen if someone nearby, it's a waste of time. They touch the gen in no time and gain a distance while you trying to brake it. You better injure someone than break the gen. Take more effort to protect good gens in the middle and good gens that appear close to each other. Give up on gens that is hardly reachable. Don't bother much about gens on far side of the map or gens on 2nd floors and basements. Protect them if you have opportunity but keep in mind this gens worth less for you. Of course at the end of the match every gen is worth protecting.
