Huntress Insta Hatchets Add-on rework suggestion

Most of the killers have their big guns in the form of ultra rares. You got the new trapper with his cool & hip auto-traps and hurt on touch fun contraptions, doctors with a terror radius that's slightly smaller than the whole planet and Myers... well, let's leave that one for another day... and then you have the huntress...

Carrying a hatchet so powerful that once they land, not even they down the survivor but the person that is playing it alongside their connection. Macabre stuff. The odds of winning a regular match against an insta hatchet huntress are tremendously low to the point of people immediately giving up which ends up frustrating both ends of the game and it's quite the funkiller. To prevent people from leaving the game right away without rendering the huntress' ultra rare completely useless I've considered a rework based off a new* mechanic introduced in the latest PTB.

The new ultra rare should, instead of insta downing people, apply a stackable 60 seconds broken status effect on hatchet hits. The broken effect renders the target unable to be healed for the duration, which is quite powerful on it's own but at the same time it doesn't force rage quits left and right (at least on paper).

That's my take on the matter, feel free to rage at this post.

Get rid of insta heal and we can get rid of iri heads and rework those

    Thats my opinion

Yeah then change it to rare.

Its not really an issue because you can only carry 1 hatchet. Hatchets are incredibly easy to juke, just dont try to pallet loop and infinate then you wont get hit in window frames. The only way that addon is viable is if you stack it with another ultra rare. And if someone stacks very rare and ultra rare addons, it should be easier to win.

They usually come paired with the "carry +2" addon, which counters the limitations to it.

    So?

If that weren't possible, no one would ever use that Ultra Rare.

Typical survivor logic … ANY one shot ability has to be removed at all cost.
They can't stand it to get downed immediately, because that would make bullying the killer to dangerous.

The wind up is slow AF as well as the count reduction.... even with the increase addon for the count of 3 its not a major threat unless you're going against scott jund the huntress main himself... I like the idea of the broken effect and the devs need to use it more but replacing an actual scary threatening addon with something that allows survivors to still escape would be unrewarding

Yep, I forgot… no matter how harsh the drawbacks of one shot add ons are, they need to go.
Survivor only see the bonus, never the drawback (the opposite to how they see survivor perks of course).
