Deathslinger kill stat inflation.
Did some popular survivor main streamer tell everyone to throw the game against Deathslinger or am i missing something?
This is what i call nursing a killer because this is what survivors were doing to nurse to get her nerfed (and succeeded) literally running to her and just farming each other in front of her for points and all being killed or quitting.
Almost every game today someone has quit the second they see me or they don't bother doing gens and just farm. The few times this didn't happen was against swf sweat squads that i lost against because they did gens and just treated it like a normal game.
Nobody uses D-slinger in the tournament because he is weak, so why the sudden salt fest?

Streamer Scott Jund said that good Deathslinger has no counterplay. And if survivor managed to juke his power it is not because survivor is good but because killer made a mistake. This is all I know.

While I agree that can happen to an extent (I truly believe people do this with Freddy, either that or they are just really bad because he is easy to loop), I don't think people did that with Nurse. Nurse did need some adjustments. Did she need them to the extent she got? Probably not, but it did weed out the Nurse players who quite simply, weren't that good.
As for Deathslinger, he does need a downside to being able to spam M2 and fake his power constantly. That kind of zero effort, free zoning shouldn't exist.

Like what? if he aims he goes into a 6 minute cd where he can't move see or hear? so ######### sick of this community.
Lets delete all killers and only leave wraith with no addons ok?
I also played nurse with no addons pre nerf and survivors literally threw against her all the time.

Nobody wants a 6 second cooldown - but for all his free, no effort zoning, he should have a downside.

I' m sorry but....Slinger doesn't need a nerf, Against good survivors he'll get smoked.. a 110% killer like him can struggle against survivors that can dodge just right (I should know. i Main this boi)

Not enough of a downside to warrant effort-free zoning.
I mean, the general majority disagrees. There's no counterplay to "killer spams M2 for free zoning". Bro, I've been a killer main since 2016. I even have full Legacy on all killers that have it. Even I can see the awful design in something like this.
Now if guys perhaps just aren't good enough and need that kind of free zoning..well, that's a different problem entirely.

Mobility is king in this game, having absolutly nothing of it is a huge downside

If DS is directly behind you with no obstacles then you deserve to be speared. If you give a counter to being shot out in the open then what is the point?
I already know what survivors want. A big roar with a wind up to the shot so they can awdasdawdasdawdasdawdasdawdad and swish their mouse like they do to Billy with a massive cd for canceling the aim.
The dev's may as well delete him or make the shot insta down.

He has to double hit you. make sure you're in Complete LoS just to shoot you. aswel with the fact that other survivors can Bodyblock the chained survivor, his stun is a hefty one W/O addons aswel with reloading 2.75 seconds, all that time is Viable to a killer. that's like clown zoning a survivor with bottles, cept his slow you down more than injure you AT best

Playing against Deathslinger is really unfun, just like versus the old Legion.
I play a lot of solo survivor and there are people who DC or kill themself when they see Deathslinger or Spirit. Of course that makes the game a lot harder for the rest of us, but can we really blame them? They came to play a decent, maybe even fun game and then they get a Deathslinger, Spirit or Pyramid Head... just great.
Its like going into a restaurant, ordering your favourite meal and then you get served a plate with a big pile of elephantshit. I would not like to swollow that either, would you?

It's not about looping. You're strawmanning. Nobody is saying "Take away his reeling harpoon!" which is why the looping is different. They are saying give him some counterplay, make it so if he aims his weapon, he should be making it count instead of just spamming M2 for free zoning with no skill involved. You're making an argument that hasn't been argued at all.
The ONLY issue is his spamming of M2. Huntress has a wind up, and a downside (and she's still the better killer, I should add) to her wind up if she decides not to take it.

Well think bout it like this. Imagine you're versing Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. everything he spears someone i just imagine "GET OVER HERE!!!" Plus wiggling your head no or yes while reeling / being reeled, (kinda hilarious ngl)

Are they? I play almost every killer beside Spirit, Deathslinger and PH :D I want to earn my victory, i want to outplay my opponents, i want LONG and FUN chases, i want a challange. Because i think thats the point of the game.. right? Thats how i define fun.
So i dont think your statement is true, but i try to answer anyway like it would be true: Because they are lacy. And because they want to be powerful and have full control of the chase.
Now answer my question: Why are they even playing the game when they want the most fun part (chase) redused to a minimum with almost no counterplay?
It is like a fisher would fish out of a small barrel. Yea... they get the fish, but whats the point of that?

I got (and play) every Killer but Deathslinger (cuz imo its a weak Huntress and his Perks are useless).
No idea why people think he is OP.. sure its rather easy to land shots but you will always waste time with this entire reeling mechanic and good survivor just drop palettes early and unlike huntress he cant punish em for it.
So if you got the aim and predictions your better of playin Huntress (personal opinion ofc :D)
Btw: LoL at the "killer x is unfun to play against" i kinda read this type of comments for 50% of the Killers and the others just dont get played.

Again, just for the record. Nobody, i repeat.. NOBODY is saying he is op. He is just so extremly unfun in the chase. Was Legion op? No he had the same problem as Deathslinger, he got hardcore genrushed. But the chase my man, the chase is so extremly boring. For me it is rather frustrating because i am a small little tryhard but thats my thing.

Well would you rather verse a spirit that you don't see coming at you and making it a Hard 80/20 guess? if the answer is no, then Slinger is the killer here =D besides. hes rated Lower than spirit. Huntress. Hell even Doctor, (and Doctor is 100% More annoying than slinger...)

God no, Spirit is the same poop as Deathslinger. But that does not answer the question: Whats so fun about versing a Deathslinger. Just because there might be even worse killer does not make Deathslinger now fun...

Besides his chase music. i just like hearing the gun sounds. plus he just gives me that feeling of Zoidberg running away with my head blown off (in this case. Shot by Caleb) but misses just by an inch, i don't get that feeling with any other killer But him.

I play them to but do i expect to win going into the match? Nope. I play the old killers with the full expectation to lose and see them as de-ranking killers.
If you want LONG and "FUN" chases at r1 with true r1 survivors, not the boosted rank 20s. Then expect only a single "LONG and "FUN"" chase.
There is nothing fun about chasing a survivor around a tile that you know there is no counter to, especially when many of the survivors are using stretched res to remove what little mindgame there is.
Does nobody realize that in the vid scott made about how to counter looping, he chased jendenice for 1 minute while "countering" the loops? In his own vid showing how to beat looping he just lost 3 gens from one chase!

the only way to have fun in dbd is to be a wraith apparently and just continue chasing survivors without downin' them.. Cause thats what survivors like right? =DDD

Fair enough, I wouldn't mind if there was a little delay before he could attack or aim again after lowering his gun.
Still disagree on the general statement (of other forumdwellers) that he has no counterplay

Gotta take into account that you'd have to buff him aswel if you're nefing the One thing that helps him quickscope in a chase

This is the part i dont understand.... Deathslingers biggest downside is the reeling mechanic cuz it eats so much time unless its point blank. Good Survivor can waste more time by clinching into Terrain (Swf can run between to break the chain or just take the hit and deny a down).
So if at all its unfun for the Deathslinger to land a shoot and in worst case get nothing from it.
It seems a Killer is only fun when you can run circles with him and he cant do anything about it...

Exactly that (some loops can be run tighter by Survivor cuz smaller Hitbox) and there is no counterplay and its super unfun running circles around a 5m longe Tile like its some "comedy sketch".

I dont know man, i play R1 all the time and i have no issues to win with every killer. Sure you also loose games and sometimes you even get destroyed, but you are not supposed to win every game - there is way 2 much RNG in the game that this is even possible.
So you think long chases are not fun or exciting and thats the reason why you pick a killer who can end a chase instantly? You do it because you want to have control i assume? Gottcha, i think we are just very different persons and we define fun overall different. I guess thats also the reason why you see them as depip killer without thinking twice and i improved and 4K even the strongest teams with them now. I am not blaming you, not everybody can be that determinated then i am, but let me tell you, you are able to win even with bad killers against the REAL R1 teams.
And talking about real R1 Survivor... There are maybe 5 out there, and when i play killer, its down to 4, so you are very unlucky when you run into the same 4 players over and over again.

It seems a killer is only fun when you can run circles with him... Well, a killer is only fun when you have a good chase with counterplay. I am not part of Scotts Army but he is absolitly right what he said about that. Survivors want to use their skill and experience..
Is this really so hard to understand? Also.. dont blame the people, blame the devs for how little they gave survivors to work with.

The thing is mate Deathslinger just isn't counterable if he knows what he's doing. A good Deathslinger should only ever miss 1 shot per match. The free zoning he gets from just lifting his weapon is enough.
Huntress is a good example of how to perfectly balance a 110% killer. She is extremely strong but her wind up is slow so you can counter her. She's better than Deathslinger and she's better than most 115% killers.
I'd rather they increase Deathslingers speed to 115% if they were able to balance his power better.

Everyone keeps saying "counterplay" From what i can tell this means that the survivor must be at fault regardless of the killers skill. I have even heard that some people say that there should be enough "counterplay" that a DS with aimbot can miss.
Huntress is heavily map dependent and also got obliterated in the tournament.

Slinger has the same counterplay every killer has. Spread out and do separate gens, you will never not finish them all, even if the killer is extremely good.

Everyone saying Deathslinger has no counterplay seems incapable of using their frigging eyes and common sense:
Okay, i do main Caleb, but it's the same on survivor side: know what he can shoot through/over/across. I dunno how often I had purple and red rank survivors trying to duck behind things i could shoot through/over/across and then complain.
Meanwhile I did manage to run a deathslinger long enough for 2 1/2 gens to pop until he decided to just give chase and m1 me. and I suck at running killers.

Well.. thats a good question and i think you are not totally wrong with your assumption but also not right :D. Lets talk about counterplay for a second. This might read a bit complicated, so better read carefully :P
Lets use for example a loop with a pallet. When the survivor manages to reach the pallet, he is temporary safe - he achieved his safty. The killer failed to catch him before he can reach the loop. But the killer had a fair chance to get the survivor before the loop.
So now lets say the surviivor managed to reach his safe place, most killer can challange this safty i talk about. Hillbilly, Huntress, Demogorgon, Blght, Trapper, etc.. all have that in some form. But against all those killers, the survivor has some sort of play and a choice when he is at his safe spot. It is usually in the survivors hand if he gets caught by a billy when he stays at his SAFE spot (the pallet, the loop).
So far, the ballance is fine. The killer had the chance to get the survivor before he reaches the safe spot without any chance of the survivor to defend himself. And then he had the chance that the survivor does a mistake when he is at his safe spot.
Now, lets assume this is not the case. Lets talk about when there is no real safe spot for survivor. Nurse and Spirit dont have any advantage before you reach the safe spot as survivor, but they have full control when the survivor is at his safe place.
What Nurse makes her broken at a "safe place", makes Deathslinger broken when not beeing at a pallet. He can zone the survivor from his needed safe Haven.
Pyramid Head has the same as Deathslinger more or less, he makes everything unsafe. Running to the loop is unsafe, beeing at the loop is unsafe, droping the pallet is double unsafe.
Both PH and Deathslinger have the ability to simply deny the safe spot at all. They have free zone potential with faking the ability during chase. The notorious "get hit or get hit" situation with both of those killers when running to the safe spot make them so unfun to play against.

I mean, long is relative ob course. But we are talking about 30-60 seconds "long".. not 10 seconds chases like Nurse or Deathslinger.
No i am rank 1 since week 2 i started this game. I am the guy who is the carry in your team and the killer you are here complaing about.

Why should a survivor be safe?
Why are loops with NO COUNTERPLAY FOR THE KILLER good, when breaking the pallet basically guarantees you reach the next loop with the way these maps have been designed?
